I've had your app for years but the recent change to making your customers enter their phone # on that dirty germ covered pin pad is unacceptable. It slows the line down and clearly you could use the technology you use in the app for payment, a personal bar code for the cashiers too scan. I have this app for touch free payment and quick checkout, I'm receiving neither. Please correct this as I'd like to visit on my lunch break and leave with only my pizza slice. not a handful of germs too

It even saves all your purchases that used with the app and tells you how many points u earned per purchase. I have spent $23 bucks and earned 2 points, and I've spent $9 bucks and earned 20 points. So I don't really understand the point system.
This has been a great app until it was changed to the current version. Most of the time I can't connect anymore. Since I don't shop in the store much, I do like having a $ off rewards system that I can use for gas. That being said, it would be nice if that reflected on the total that prints on the receipt at the pump. But the main issue is the connection issue. You need to get that fixed yesterday.
New update doesn't work well. won't allow me to put pump # in. every time u update it makes it worse! UPDATE! I hate this app! still does not allow me to put in my pump number. I have changed my password, Uninstalled reinstalled the app multiple times without effect! I have to pay inside and don't get the discount even when paying with app. I have called customer service multiple times and they are NOT helpful!!! this week i called 10 times. I got " no one available to take your call"
I just downloaded the app, then started reading all the reviews. I don't know if I even want to give it a try to be quite honest. Sounds to me that the old version of the app was excellent & some1 thought it would be a good idea to upgrade. When are you tech ppl going to figure this out!? If it's not broke don't fix it! If no 1 is complaining about it in the 1st place don't touch it! Because evidently you did something right the 1st time. Go back to old & don't touch it! I may want to wait.
*UPDATE* I just found out that the gas discount doesn't apply unless you directly link a bank account to your Smart Rewards account. I was under the impression that you could use a debit card. *ORIGINAL* The discount on gas does not work. I opened the app, selected the pump. I am a member and I have a card set up for payment. No discount was applied. Additionally, many times I've gone in trying to use the rewards I have and it never takes off any money for rewards.
Great app, just wish it clarified what earned points can be used on. I'll claim my points and for some reason it doesn't use them until it feels like it... I can go three times and it does not use my points then randomly on the 4th go, it applies my points. I still haven't figured out the fuel rewards either. it says I have 20¢ off my first five fill ups, I just pay the same amount as if I didn't because it never has worked.
useless. I got the app, and removed it -IT didn't work. I could not get a code to get onto the app- got it again. Changed passwords. I did this 3 separate times. I cannot get past the "enter your verification code we just sent you".. NEVER get the code. I enter my phone number in the store so I KNOW they have the right number. Done wasting time. 7 eleven it will be.
unusable, cannot even update the app - no longer a convenient option to use. The original app should have never been changed. May be time to go Thank you for your response to my statement. I was absolutely using the most recent update...This issue began upon attempting to use your newest update. Many people are having the same issues. Fix it or Don't, I'm moving on, the rewards no longer outweigh the hassle. Good luck
I changed my rating from a 5 to a 1. if it had an option for zero, I would use it. I have sent multiple emails to the support line and to customer service. I get the same response "so sorry for the inconvenience, Yada Yada yada" "make sure your phone is up-to-date, make sure app is updated, etc". I literally can't even open the app! And yes, my phone is updated to the newest settings, the app had been updated and uninstalled and then reinstalled. I've tried using wifi and cellular data. Fix It!!
Old version of this app was simple and easy to use. I would give it five stars. this new version is a pain in the butt to use more complex and yeah, it just makes the entire transaction more difficult to complete. To activate your customer barcode, you must authorize payment first. I'm still not sure how this works or if this works with my gift card.
can't use the app, it just doesn't work. tried Uninstalling, downloading again and still nothing. very frustrating that I have an app that I'm supposed to be able to use for discounts and points and easy pay options and it won't even load. worked fine the first year I had it but since it has updated its done nothing but give me issues. stopped to get gas and can't use the app to get my gas discount. 😒
Not sure what happened. This app used to be so easy to use and got lots of free stuff and discounts. Used to go out of my way to find stores when traveling. Now I have to enter my phone number which never works. Store staff never knows what to do and no response to my customer service emails. Last straw was being charged twice with no resolution. Husband had issues after recent update getting app to connect to bank account and gave up when phone support was unable to resolve.
Ever since the new version has come out, the pay at the pump feature rarely works. I would say 7 out of 10 times it says pump reservation failed and I have to go inside. it also seems to be backwards technology to have to put in your phone number on the kiosk to redeem coupons and rewards instead of just scanning the barcode like it used to be. It makes the line and time at the cash register take longer.
edit: got a new phone and all is working again. appears the app no longer supports older android operating systems. not ideal that's for sure, but at least it is working sgain... this app has become absolutely useless. log in it says there is an update, brings you to play store and there is no update. can't get tech support or anything in the app. losing out on 10¢ per gallon discount now on multiple fill ups. guess I'm done with Cumberland
I've tried paying for gas with this app a few times. Didn't have any issues until recently when it declined my payment twice and now I have two pending transactions that will last over a week. I had to contact Cumberland Farms last month to fix another issue with trying to pay for my gas and the pending transactions magically went away. Hoping I don't have to do this again. EDIT: The payments that I was able to make prior did not give me points for gas and "could not load points" in receipt.
This app is very easy to use. I love the rewards to try out new products. (UPDATE : rewards and offers has changed and VERY often are not in stock or not even available at my location . Although one employee at Cumby's was pleasant, the other one may need some happy pills .) charge taken directly out of your bank account like a debit. It does help save money on gas.
When I try to redeem my points for money off my next transaction it seems to just make a random choice of how much it feels like actually taking off. Like i just tried to use 8$ off and it only took off about 3.50$ and left the other 5 or so dollars for me to pay. It doesn't return the points it chose not to use. This is the third time this has happened. It kinda sucks when im between paychecks and depend on it, you know, doing what it says it will do.
Rewards were working fine, then after an update, for months I have gotten no reward points for gas purchases. I thought this must be a program change but later found out I should be getting points. Wrote to customer service and they elevated it to tech support and that I would hear back in 3-5 business days. ONE MONTH LATER. no response, and when I wrote to them they said it was in the technical department's hands and there were no updates. when I wrote again, they sent me the same text.
This used to be an awesome, user-friendly app! It was my favorite! At one point, they updated it, and it struggled working, but they resolved to fix it, and it got much better! Now they have updated it again, and you MUST use your phone number in the store to get rewards. Even if you are paying with the app! It no longer automatically gives you the deals and discounts unless you enter your phone number. Plus, the app crashes, and you can't pay at the pump! It's awful now and frustrating!
