stopped working. I go to one of my smart tag 2 devices and the app just freezes up won't let me select anything. this really sucks. it was working perfectly then it just stopped. makes all my smart tags useless now! ive clears the cashe and data and even reinstalled the app and deleted and re connected the tag. but it won't let me continue from the warning page. the acknowledgement button is not doing anything it just freezes up!

The app says it'll support my smart bulbs, but doesn't. I constantly have to reconnect my TV to my phone (which defeats the whole purpose of a seamless ecosystem). The only thing it works well with is my Samsung microwave...which I really don't need to have remote control over.
Two major flaws with this app 1) - the absence of battery % remaining on the icon for each device (in this case, SmartWings shades), which means you have to click into each one individually to see the remaining battery, and 2) - the constant alerts that one of the shades has less than 1% battery remaining, when that's incorrect (ie they may have 20, 30, 40, 50%+ remaining). Otherwise, the app is handy and works with the Aeotec hub as a solid solution for smart devices.
I've had this for nearly 8 years, never really had a problem until very recently. I'm unable to control my devices and lights through the app, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now it doesnt find my devices nor can I sign in. Bug in the recent update? I even attempted to submit a report and it doesnt recognize that I put in a description of the problem and repeatedly tells me to add a description!
overall the app is ok for setting up the dishwasher. what really is annoying is my wife picked Japanese as the the default language and you should be able to correct language settings in the app instead of directly at the machine. it would cut down on support calls for stupid mistakes. also the cancel button is the same button as the start button so it's kind of confusing.
Absolutely awful experience. when it used to work, it lagged like crazy. Now, whenever I enter into the TV remote plugin for both my samsung TV's on the smart things app, it refuses to accept any touch input, rendering my the frame 2022 TV inoperable, as the physical remote doesn't work for it either. Im really disappointed, as samsung makes great phones, but their Tv's, the underlying tizen software and their smartthings application, are abysmal.
this app sucks. I used to use Find to locate my devices. now it's replaced with this app. location is no longer accurate and tries to log you into wifi e everytime you launch it. its like it runs off the last location the device was logged into a wifi connection vs. using mobile data, which makes it difficult to track the device in real time. bring back Find!
Didn't realize I had dropped an earbud in the gym until after I got home. The app helped me not waste time searching for it at home or in the car. We could see that it was still at the gym. With the tracker, we could get close enough to hear it faintly chirping under a piece of exercise equipment where we would never have found it otherwise. Excellent!
app did not recognize my Samsung air handler. Tech support was useless. although the device is "supported" it was not listed on device list for support. the device had a QR code that was not recognized as valid. I had to call a technician from the company that installed it. He spent an entire afternoon, .most of it with tech support on the phone in my hot attic. so, I would say the app sucks and the support for it is not any better.
This app is forever glitchy and a pain to use. It is nice to be able to control the TV from my phone, but everyone I try to use it it has logged out/disconnected and I have to re-establish the connection, usually by having to unplug the TV, which, since it is a wall mount, is kind of a pain. I will add that when I first got it everything worked ok, it seems with every update I have to login and start over, and the likelihood of success in logging in and connecting to the TV gets worse Everytime
For the last year. It completely stopped working to locate my phone from the device SmartTag2. I have 4 of them. After the firm were update, they all stopped. Working software has been wiped and uninstalled. In reinstalled, devices have been restart and paired. Again I will attempt to read contact customer service. They said bringing into a service center. Something is not right that 4 smart tags and 4 devices don't work 🤔
The newest update apparently removed the feature that lets you play your TV's sound through your phone. That feature was really useful if you had headphones that wouldn't work directly with your TV. So what I would do is connect my headphones to my phone, and then play my TV sound through the phone. Simple. But not anymore I guess, they just completely removed that feature. Or at the very least I can't find where it is now, but I'm pretty sure it's just gone.
I had minor issues for years using this app to control my TV and sound bar both Samsung as well as my phone and second TV in bedroom. but today for some reason the app doesn't work for any of the phones that we have loaded the app on. the original remote stopped working a long time ago so that is not an option the power button fell off from the TV the first year we had it so we solely rely on this app that no longer works.
I lost my galaxy buds 2 pro several weeks ago, I attempted to use the find my device feature only to be told I didn't register my device with my samsung account (but I did register it) so that feature did not work at all. I also attempted to speak with a representative to get assistance with the issue, to which they offered minimal help, essentially saying "all you can do is keep trying to connect to them" which I found not only very unhelpful, but also unprofessional.
very frustrating trying to simply set up the TV and streaming apps. I receive constant error messages saying smart hub is being updated please try again later. I don't need my TV synced to my phone. I just want to use the remote but can't seem to disengage the mobile app. sometimes less is more. Syncing the TV to a mobile phone just doesn't seem necessary and that's complications to what should be a simple TV setup.
The latest update does not work at all for me. At first the app wouldn't even open, so I reinstalled the app and it opens now, but can no longer find any of my devices. Meaning its pretty much useless now. I reached out to support and they tried to resolve the issue, but they could not find a solution and said the next update should have a fix. Unfortunately that has been a week now and still no update.
it's ok. I love the idea, but the execution definitely has issues. like sometimes it won't connect. the reason for this review though is that the size of this app massively increased and is now the app taking up the most storage on my phone. with what?! why?! edit: now it's unusable and just says downloading any time I try to click my device. I tried deleting and redownloading the app and the issue remains
well y'all do good on mobile applications. why you make it so hard on TVs to stay connected to this app. all four TVs are connected to Ethernet always. yet you use lose communication if not used in a week. and think the TVs are off and not connected to ethernet or Wi-Fi. and just to keep the TVs from interacting with each other we have to put tape over the sensors because they( 2 tv's) are right next to each other on the same wall,and we have to use this app which is unreliable. pls Fix
This app is supposed to control my various Samsung smart devices in my home. However, for example, it can indicate that my gas stove is turned on, but it cannot check status or turn it off. It can turn on or off my TV, but offers minimal control on channel selection. The "smart" TV can't even remember what channel I last watched soI have to go look for it each time. There is a ways to go for Samsung to really claim these appliances and this app as truly smart.
This app keeps on getting worse and worse. It STARTED as a simple remote control, but now it requires me to DOWNLOAD A DIFFERENT WEB BROWSER (despite saying that it supports Firefox) to sign in, and insists on showing ads. ADS. IN MY REMOTE CONTROL. FOR THE TELEVISION THAT I PAID. MONEY. FOR. I will never buy another Samsung device again after this, I can guarantee that.
