Giving this app 5 Stars because it does what Google has failed to do for years on end when attempting to transfer phone data between Android phones when replacing devices. I subscribe and pay for Google 1 and yet each time I swap devices, Android 1 fails to transfer my SMS & MMS data no matter how many times I have tried. The Google device switch app is useless and Google should speak with Apple on how to build an app for seamless transfer of user data from one phone to another.

People don't realize just how many text messages their phones store up on a daily basis. I was shocked when I saw I had 25,000 text messages. I love this app. I've been able to backup my new text messages and phone calls once a week for 4 years now, at the end of the month I do a complete backup. All backups are stored in the cloud. I'll go through and delete old backups every 6 months. I may never go back and restore anything, but it's reassuring to know that I can if I need to.

this app actually copied and transfers my texts correctly, unlike Google which I lose the Media or texts that are old. the pro version is way better it's a must.

I appreciate this app for its ability to back up messages and calls, then upload them to the cloud. However, I suggest an improvement: instead of backing up everything anew each time, the app could simply append new data to the previous week's backup before uploading. This would be more efficient in terms of time and energy. Additionally, I'm encountering an issue with locating my local backups, as the app seems to be in a continuous loading state, making it challenging to delete these backups.

Slow upload speed, uploads vary between 16Mb and 30Mb per second on a 100Mb upload connection. Otherwise it would get a 5 star rating.

Works great. I'm paying for pro, even though I don't want or need it as a donation to support your work. Thank you! It took a bit of playing to get it correct. Google wasn't restoring all my picture messages correctly and was importing some of them as blank files. SMSB&R would see these blanks and skip over, so they didn't get restored. If I told SMSB&R to ignore dupes then it would double things. The solution was to erase all messages in Google and SMSB&R (not backups) and do a fresh restore.

Excellent for automated backups! This is the only app that I have found that lets you delete old messages from your log. Well worth my money! I asked for this feature and submitted a 4 star review. They saw it, understood why it's needed, then messaged me to say it's now in the app. Awesome!!

Can't open the xml file usefully on computer. Word shows lists of sms but nothing clickable, no text. Not Edge, NotePad, Office XML Handler, nor XML Editor. Can only open the xml on the phone, but it doesn't show photos. I checked "Attachments & Media" is on. But no attachments show when opening the xml. ok, I see the attachments, but they only open full screen. not useful. Need thumbnail inline with the texts. No one ever mentioned this? Will update if I am able to see thumbnails inline.
