When this app works it's great. However there are issues. Such as when I took my payments off auto pay, my bank account doesn't show up as a payment option. But it's still saved in my account so I can't readd it. Another thing is the app used to show you your acured interest before making a payment. Its not longer there. Not sure whose running the review account but my issue with my checking account was not a suggestion. It is a problem!

The good is that there are tons of tools to use to keep your money managed properly. As time progresses, I continue to find flaws in the banking app, especially when it comes to time and bill paying. Deposited checks take several days to process, so you have to wait longer to use your funds even after payday. Funds still take forever to transfer to other banks and such. As I notice many flaws and how time-consuming tasks are, I start to lose hope as the reliability of Sofi diminishes.

OMG, the notifications are extremely annoying. For stocks that I have no interest in at all. I go in the app to notification settings, and there's no option to turn them off! 🗣PLEASE JUST MAKE IT STOP!!! Other than that, I actually love sofi products and use pretty much all of them. If you want the credit card, make sure your credit score is where you want it to be because they don't believe in credit limit increases.

Was great....for a short while. Then crashed and totally useless. Out of the blue, I am suddenly unable to add money to my account to be able to buy stocks. It just quit working and gave me a 'Sorry for the delay on our end' message. So frustrating if you want to be able to buy stocks quickly at a target price. Think I'll cash out and take my money elsewhere.

The banking experience is great. I have no complaints. It is easy to use and you don't have a whole bunch of ads and other stuff while trying to use it. The investment side of the app, however, could use some work. I think maybe if you're just buying stocks it is fine. Several numbers do not update automatically, so you have to click out and then back into whatever you're trying to buy or sell. For something like an option that can ruin your entire position.

Had you asked last week this would have been a 4-5. A retired computer forensic examiner. Not my first tech rodeo. Bank and app are great for savings management; OK and still getting used to odd bill paying, could be simpler. The issue is with those not so everyday, when you need them, YOU NEED THEM events Big purchased required a wire transfer. The third party vendor ID software SoFi uses is terrible and failed a dozen times. SoFi support useless on vendors. No backup option. Cost me $207.

I haven't had much experience with the bank but the app is way too crowded. The checking portion should be the first page and the ability to freeze your card should be easier and faster to access. currently, it's extremely cluttered update: even worse than I thought. you have to reenter the debit card to Google wallet every time you unfreeze it. huge waste of time.

I absolutely love this bank and investment company!!! I just started with them, it's only been a few weeks and they have already raised my credit score a few points and gave me some of their points which added $10 to my checking account. I've never dealt with a bank like this. they have it all, checking savings retirement plans CDs when I get my money up I'm investing in everything they have!!!!

minus one star for being a little too pushy with their offerings and having too much clutter (mostly with other things they want you to sign up for). BUT being able to have a bank account (that gives 4.25% APY to boot, at least if you go through Samsung), invest in stocks, IRAs, etc all in one place is extremely convenient.

Excellent banking and investing app! By far one of the best banking and stocks investing apps I've ever used! It's very easy to use and informative with regards to the stock market and building your financial future. I've yet to have any problems or experience any glitches. I have other apps for banking, but I use this one the most. I rarely, if ever, see an ad. The customer service is excellent as well. I think SoFi should have small physical banking branch locations nationwide.

The app works fine. It is user friendly and does the job well. My only complaint is mobile check deposit. Please send feeback to the actual bank, the app is great, no issues there. It should NOT take a week to clear a mobile deposit check in the year 2025. There are ways to verify if the check is valid immediately. Most of your customers are low income. Please don't make things harder for no reason over an $8 check when they just need some damn milk.

I used to like the app until I got a different phone and now I can't get into my account because to reset your password they send a email that then wants to send a verification code to a number you don't have and you can't change your phone number. Plus no customer support at all because you have to be able to log in to have access to support and to top that you will receive 100s of emails and even be notified about a data breach but you can't do anything . Avoid Sofi! Get better customer servic

I've had SoFi as my primary bank for around 3 years. Started out pretty great, I got some nice sign-up bonuses and was really impressed with how much I could do with one app. Then the cracks started showing. Savings APY started going down, which wasn't a big deal for me, since I have another savings account. But the deal breaker for me was being completely unable to deposit a fairly large insurance settlement check that I needed ASAP. CS was beyond useless. Avoid.

had an account opened for almost 3 weeks, have direct setup and all that, card still do this day has not been shipped. but hey there is a digital version right? wrong, you have a digital version but you can't see the numbers for it so it's unable to be used for bill pay or anything like that. so all my money goes there, but I can't use any of it to do anything except tap to pay. because these dummies think bills work that way. DO NOT USE THIS APP AS MAIN ACCOUNT!!! DISGUSTING!!

My "dashboard" WAS just a bunch of offers for other products. My loan details weren't front and center but it turns out my loan was simply too new. I'm editing my initial review to a higher score. I do wish they would have let me know to be patient to allow for things to be up to date. Otherwise, nicely appointed, help team is responsive and the app is fairly easy to use.

SoFi is usually very strict with charges they allow in your account especially if it's a large amount. They text you things like did you authorize this $7.99 from Amazon? but for whatever reason this morning after I called and told them I had a negative balance in my checking account and didn't know why and found out it was a double charge from a hotel I had already paid! they thought it was okay even though it was a negative balance I didn't owe to take over $200 from my savings towards that

Transferred everything to this bank, but for months now no matter what I do the Zelle transfer doesn't work. It just says couldn't verify my identity with no way to fix it. Been a pretty average bank in general, with a basic app that doesn't fully work. Did the chat twice and talked by phone. They "can't" fix it it seems. They refuse to verify and fix my issue. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I didn't care for the $20 inactivity fee. I did not login for a couple years, hoping to see investment gains by setting and forgetting, and then found I had been hit with about $100 in inactivity fees that I wasn't tracking. It seems a bit cluttered and not as intuitive to be able to withdraw funds if you don't use it regularly. Otherwise, the Sofi app is great with many resources.

Setting up an account was so easy! Could purchase stocks shortly after setting the account up. Just a reminder, there will be a three day hold on most the funds...they allow a certain amount instantly, but keep it in mind. Love the app so far! A suggestion: add a "notes" option for stock holdings and the wish list where we can save and edit insights related to individual stocks.

really happy with this app/bank. had a bank before sofi ( I will not mention their names) but my account was hacked 3 times!! I finally got fed up with them and switched. I'm so glad I did. the app is easy to use, and you also earn points, which you can redeem for cash, or pay off your credit card/student loans. I'd give them 6 Stars if it would let me.
