Description
Been using Solar Snap for a couple months now. It’s basically a camera app that lets you take awesome photos of the sun, even during an eclipse. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda thing.
Here’s how it works: you attach this special filter to your phone camera, open the Solar Snap app, and start snapping away. There’s also some editing tools so you can tweak the pics. And you can even set up notifications to remind you when the next solar eclipse is happening.
Look, if you’re into photography and want to get some cool sun shots, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the filter can be a bit tricky to attach at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re into that stuff.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Solar Snap. I've tested a bunch of camera apps and this one's pretty unique. The filter really does protect your phone camera from the sun's brightness, which is the main thing. And the app itself is simple but gets the job done. I will say the learning curve is a bit steep at first, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Not gonna lie, it can get a little repetitive after a while, but if you're a big eclipse/sun photo nerd, this is a pretty cool tool to have.
