I have a teclast m89 tablet running android 7,solex can't find solo, I tried everything,is there a patch or an update that can make this compatible with each other,if so it'll be greatly appreciated.That wasn't the problem,the aggressive option was disabled,any other suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.Such an awesome app,works good on my tab e lite but the teclast has better resolution and processor..

← Back to Solexlove the app. people having problems should do the power cycle in the correct order. if your stuck in a preflight update. you have to find an older device that supports the solo app and download the preflight updates from that.
I was nervous about buying this app as I had never paid more than 5 bucks for any app but I really wanted to get my defunct djisolo flying again. The app's developer was patient and helpful by answering my questions about how to update the drone so that it would work with his Solex app. This morning my Solo flew for the first time in 2 years. I am excited to put it to the test. Thanks Kelly.
Worked well for awhile, but only connects to 3dr Solo once, then requires an uninstall and reinstall to connect again. switching to usb, then back to udp doesn't work on any device I install this on. nice features despite the bugs so 3 stars.
Great app for 3DR Solo quads, I still need to try it with another Ardupilot drone. A bit of learning menus and you can do lots with this app. Updates, Automated missions and smart shots (assuming you have a controllable camera). Great and appreciated work.
The app works and flies great. I need to reach out to the developed for a few questions I have relating to capturing video/pics but it works pretty well overall.
This app is amazing, years after purchase and it's still going well. So if you have a solo just don't think about it, get it, it's a brilliant app. I am using the app on all my solos and it is very impressive. It gives you so much detail and so many options. So to kelly for his SOLEX and XXX for his FW, hats off to you both and thank you for all your help. WORTH THE MONEY👍
It worked when I first downloaded it. Now it just says "VIDEO NOT SUPPORTED" I've tried uninstalling and starting over, changing different settings. Nothing works. The Solo app on an old phone still streams video so it's the Solex app not working. Currently working with Kelly to try and resolve the issue.
It has been working. I've been using it for over a couple months now. I hope the developer doesn't stop doing updates and continues to keep working on. My 3dr solo still works and I'm happy about that. I'm using a note 9 And a note 10 and it connects right away no issues I can see my camera.
Like many others that have been left behind by 3DR ... Solex is your only hope. Hadn't used my Solo in over a year and when I tried I found that the Solo app no longer functioned apparently do to an Android update. Well I wasn't happy that I had to pay for an app to make it work but it's not Solex's fault since they have nothing to do with 3DR and with that said I pulled the trigger. The app definitely has more features than solo and so far seems to work very well. Time will tell....
Do Not Buy! Can't fly your 3DR Solo with this app. This app can not calibrate the IMU because of a UI bug, and the app and author have no contact information or URL. No responses here since 2021. Abandonware? My 3DR Solo flew fine on the stock firmware, but can't fly any more after this "upgrade" with Solex. "Something else that works is contacting the developer through some means other than the app store comments section. " Such as what? Even the domain is gone.
app so far is great, but it wont let me set video mode, for example, my default is looking because I use it as a dashcam also. I put it in the solo I'm able to select hero 4 silver, but not video mode. I also was not able to select linear mode but I suspect thays because it was in looping.
For a total of $60 including the in app purchases, I had some very high expectations for this app. I have never paid even a quarter of that for a mobile app before! I am pleased to tell you, I have no regrets from buying this app. It is so much better than anything else out there for the Solo UAS, and the development just keeps on making it better. I'm a cheap bastard, so when I say to buy this app, its worth the money!
this app quickly connected to my 3D Robotics Controller and showed the camera without any problem. it's a gopro black. i bought the missions add-on but the 'missions' button is still not showing up. i have contacted the developer. i will update this when the problem is resolved. partial update: the developer responded within two minutes. still awaiting resolution.
Just a heads up everyone reading this, to do missions and land surveys, you will have to pay and extra $25 (AUD). Was totally unaware of this, and this description didn't mention it. :/ Oh well. It seemed to work in the end. Just watch all the videos you can to learn how to, before you get out to the field.
Honestly worth the price. To see your gopro on your phone as you fly, Change some settings of your drone around, and able to get warnings to talk to you. It's great. Not to mention the customer service. They emailed me back within 2 days and I was able to fix my problem. (To get through the preflight update-if you ever factory reset your drone- you will have to install some software using directions on the web.)
Bought and connected the app to my solo. Almost seemed too easy. Everything seems to work other than my camera feed (I'm almost positive it's user error). It's nice to have something that doesn't require a PHD to install and use. Great job! I'll add that 5th star when I figure out the video feed!
I had a question (that was answered on the website) but Kelly was very quick to respond on a weekend night with excellent guidance. The supporting web page, Solex mobile and Solex desktop app are all actively being developed. Not sure why there are comments treating this like it's unsupported or obsolete - it's not. Also works for more than just the 3DR Solo! Thanks again Kelly and great work!
Recent update broke the app. Cannot see video feed anymore and there is no option to close the app from inside the app. Do not buy.
The app itself is very good. The reason I only give it three stars is the unscrupulous way it is advertise. The app is fairly expensive at $29.99, but wait if you want mission planning and Geotaging you have to pay an additional $30.00. They don't tell you this in the video or the published literature. I would have to say that is dirty business practice to lure you in and then punch you in the gut. SidePilot for Apple is just as good, not quit as pretty, but it sells for $12.99 and works really
