An annoying social app that's preoccupied with rewards and achievements. No equivalent PC program so is discriminating against lower income people who can afford Chromebooks not iPhones for example. Limited device memory means limited access to books and audiobooks. I'm so disappointed the audiobooksync program switched to this garbage for 2020!

it is amazing I love it it help me focus.

I really appreciate how Sora allows you to add library's and them search from both of them at the same time. I have to use this app for school sometimes and it allows me to use my school library AND my local library. I was using Libby before and would still be using it except for the fact that I couldn't access my school's selection of books, which left me at a loss of variety which Sora immediately fixed. Would definitely reccomend getting this app!

Love the app, use it for story time at the school and to read my books on my phone, especially while traveling. I had no issues until I got a new phone this summer. Now, I am not able to log in on my phone anymore. It goes to a white screen with a small Sora symbol in the center for a while, then kicks me back to the login screen with an error message. The same goes for my husband's phone. The app still works on my laptops at home and at work... Any idea on what to do?

I use this for both my school and public library. It's great and can search in both in one search. The only issue is I don't receive email or push notifications. It makes it hard to know when I get books in without having to go into the app daily (or more) to check.

It's an amazing experience except I would like to know what timezone this is in because I had just finished reading a book at around about 4pm and once I finished an achievement popped up on the screen for reading before 7am 'early bird' and Im thinking that when someone opens the app up it should do something like connect to that person's timezone. All in all though if something helps that little problem this rating can reach 5 stars! Happy reading!

Very large array of books. Easy to use (for me at least since I got a free account with school and my county) Would only like small QoL things like more bugs I can hold etc but overall very nice. Been using it for 3 years now. Also wish u could join other libraries easier. I want some books that aren't in my libraries but are in USA or smth and I literally cannot get those so pain

😕 Worked fine at first. I would have given it 4 stars. But now it's not working! I have to download the books each time I open the app. This takes about 10-15 minutes per book. But now after each book downloads, the others say download failed. I have to refresh each time to get the books to download. Now after opening the audio book either the fan keeps spinning or I get a message the book is not available. I've tried on 3 different devices, operating systems, and networks. 😟

i love that my school district has this. it always works for me. there are 3 main things that i like- 1, you can freeze your hold in place which is super helpful for non-school related books. 2, the highlight & notes feature. its super handy if you need to save certain things for an assingment. 3, it saves your spot. also it works with public librarys via your library card which is so handy overall, its super nice and i totally reccomend for school/not leaving your house for the library.

Great app. Wonderful selection of books. I love the feature that allows you to link your local library and get unlimited loans as well as holds and an even greater selection of books. I looked a lot online yo find an ebook app that was free, and yhis was perfect. I don't need to buy many books anymore! Highly recommend, and I think it is a wonderful app for unprivleged kids.

It worked great for a while, but now when I try to open a book (I only do audiobooks), the little rotating circle goes around and around and it won't load. If I try opening another book, the play button will appear in my notification bar and I can start the audio that way, but it never loads fully. I can't make notes or see which chapter I'm on and how much of the book is left. I tried restarting the app and my whole phone. No change. So frustrating!

I use my school laptop and it works great. But when I try to sign in on my phone, it just freezes. I tried the "Can't sign in? Use this code to help!" but, when I tried that, it just said "Incorrect code. Please try again." So 2 stars. Please fix. Other than that, it really is great.(the hold list is really long though)

Can we just take a moment to think that a publicly funded program made this app? Sure it's not perfect, but when you get it running, it sure does run. You can search from multiple local libraries at once, interact with your audiobook as a notification, have multiple people or locations on one card (*cough* Netflix) and so much more. I feel like the app really is intuitive and remembers me each time I use it. It's certainly my go to library app and I will miss it after I leave high school.

The audio books don't play unless you uninstall and then reinstall the app, you have to do this every time, don't use sora, there are better book services out there

2 things. 1 let me read Catching Fire from the hunger games series cause I can't do that. Second let me download books so I can read them without connection otherwise fine.

I just couldn't find a specific book and it was too complicated for kids to operate but otherwise it was great and useful. I would 100% offer it .

this app has a great interface and also many options for audiobooks. However, it gets often stuck when starting to play, and the titles from my library never load

The app was great at first, I was able to find good books, wait wasn't that long, and it has audio books as well. Which I actually didn't expect at first. But then everything started to take 20 minutes to load INTO the app, I can't access the books I want because of the wait. And then when it finally loads, the app crashes and I can't load back in for another 20 minutes. I'm assuming its a glitch so I won't rate it low or anything. I hope it gets fixed soon though.

Great app that let's you access your kids local school library. 2 of my kids like listening to audiobooks and this is user friendly and a great second option when putting books on hold. My only issue is I wish you could have more than 3 holds at a time. Super frustrating when you have more than one book with a really long wait time. And it won't continue playing after I close the app. Overdrive will still play even after I close it, but this one won't. It has to hang out in the background.

I LOVE this reading app! It's very easy and asthetic to use. I'm just super disappointed with a recent problem where I can't turn up the reading speed on audiobooks without the app giving me an error message saying that there's a problem with my internet connection--even though I have full bars. Otherwise, it's an awesome way to check out ebooks and read.
