Description
I’ve been using SpaceWeatherLive for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you track solar activity and see when the northern lights might be visible. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you can do – there’s live data on things like solar flares, geomagnetic storms, and aurora forecasts. And you can switch between maps of the northern and southern lights to see where they’re popping off. It’s got a really cool feature that uses your location to give you personalized aurora alerts, so you’ll never miss a show.
Look, if you’re into space weather or just want to be able to hunt the northern lights, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit cluttered at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your kind of thing.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on SpaceWeatherLive. I've tested a bunch of weather and space-related apps, and this one's pretty solid overall. The amount of data and forecasting is really impressive, and I like how it tailors the info to your location. And the interface could be a bit cleaner, but it's not a dealbreaker. Compared to other aurora tracking apps I've used, this one seems to do the best job of actually alerting you when the lights are active nearby. Worth a download if you're into that kinda stuff.
