Been trying out Spar Live Video Chat for the past couple weeks. It’s basically like FaceTime but for meeting new people – you hop on, get matched with someone random, and start chatting. Pretty straightforward stuff, and you can pick between English or Hindi which is kinda neat.
The whole thing’s built around live video calls, so there’s no texting or voice-only options. You just tap to start and it’ll match you with someone to talk to. There’s this verification system they’ve got going, which is supposed to keep the creeps out. And the interface is super basic – like, almost too basic sometimes – but I guess that’s the point. Keep it simple.
Look, if you’re into meeting new people and don’t mind video calls, this might be your thing. But real talk – it’s not exactly packed with users right now (only like 10K downloads), so you might end up seeing the same faces pretty often. The matching can be hit or miss depending on when you’re using it. Not bad for a quick chat though, if you’re bored and want to practice your English or Hindi.
