The app has a great concept. But I wish it were way more clear on what you are getting for free in the app. With that being said, I wish you were more transparent on the prices of the premium as well, even though they offer a free week trial. I was really hoping that it was a lesson a day situation to keep it free. That doesn't seem to be the case, it completely just blocks you out if you don't pay.

good so far..I'm learning pretty fast. I have autism and a learning disorder so locking up languages is hard for me. right now I'm learning Spanish. I wish there were more lessons for Spanish. I also wish there was a quiz option, that would compile everything you learned so far into a quiz where you'd have to say the right answer without reading it. other than that great app.
Every few minutes, there's an error message that reads "An unexpected playback error occurred." If I exit the lesson and re-join, it will go away but it always comes back. At first it was just every few minutes, but right now it's happening just a few seconds after re-joining. Closing the app doesn't fix it either.
Its my first day using the app, and I already love it. Though, I do dislike it asking me to directly translate English to the language I am learning because personally it stunts my learning. However, the conversations feel natural and I believe it is one of the few apps that actually helps teach a language. Another thing I dislike is the slim options for languages to choose from, which I totally understand. I am hoping that they will add Russian in the future, but until then I will be waiting .
Paid version is great and so is the free version. Obviously, there are perks to paying but, even if you can't, the act of thinking about what you are saying and actually saying it *regularly* is something I haven't found as effectively in any other app I've tried. I still use my other apps to continue rounding out and building on my vocabulary but I struggle to put it to use because the words escape me when I need them. But since using this app I'm already starting to feel more comfortable. 👍🌟
I wish more apps were like Duolingo where you have to endure ads or you could choose to pay. This app would be amazing if there were a free option. Language learning should not be open to elite only who have money to pay for things. Very disappointing just how expensive these kinds of apps are. İf they were able to give a limited free option with something like ads or one lesson a day it would be much better for those of us who really want to learn a language, but cannot afford it.
I did the first free lesson and it was great, I see the potential but I am only able to do one lesson without the subscription. So for one anything talking about the free "version" there isn't really one but that's besides the point because they have a trial like most do. Problem is that any time I try to start the free trial so I can access the other lessons it simply spins and sits loading, doing nothing. It's not bad connection, it's not a bad install, it's simply not working.
You can't use the app aside a very tiny sample lesson. "Premium" means the ability to use the app aside from this very tiny sample at the beginning. They never even tell you how much it is unless you do the week trial. Too much switch and bait! So not getting Premium is not being able to use the app at all!!! ugggh.
the app is pretty good, I've been using doulingo to learn Japanese for a long while now, but it doesn't help me speak the language. The only problem is, I can’t continue my lessons. It keeps trying to make me pay for premium, just to go to lesson two. It's not fair that you have to pay to speak a language you wanna learn. There should be more options for free users, like maybe watching a few ads or something but still getting to do all the lessons.
The positives are It's a great way to learn a language. Saying the words over and over again will have you intuitively picking up the language. They also have streaks and point systems that keep you motivated to learn and even track thinks like how many minutes you've spent on the app learning the language and total sentences spoke. The negatives are it can be VERY frustrating because sometimes the app doesn't pick up what you say and is like speaking to a person hard of hearing.
