A massive downgrade in usability from the Bay News 9 app that is being phased out. Checking the weather radar requires more steps and when you play the time lapse there is no way to get back to the current state. Reading an article requires signing in but you can't actually do that (not is it clear what credentials to use). Update (10-20-2020): free trial ended and there's still no way to sign in with my Spectrum account.

So far so good. No crashes. Wish I could "cast" with it to my roku and that it handled Android 6.x. Update: I'm getting some crashes now streaming live (and I forgot to mention how great that is, especially all news rather than just local). Sound is tinny and it just stops sometimes with no error message. Added 8/23. Last update broke it. Can't see live TV anymore. Not rooted. On spectrum cable so I don't know why it doesn't like my phone.

Not an improvement. I mostly only used the weather portion of the old app. I don't like the new app's weather portion as I don't see how to default to the weather upon opening and the weather settings do not save. I keep changing it to satellite and lightning strikes, but as soon as I close the app, it goes right back to the original settings. Please fix this!

Before Spectrum bought out Bright House, this weather service was THE best, most accurate one out there for our area. Now it's less accurate than Weather Channel. I still use the app for the Klystron 9 and some news, but I never use their weather predictions anymore. They're not very accurate. I'm saddened because now our Bay Area is less good in this field than the national weather services, when we used to be among the best.

It's a great app for accurate weather,.... when the damn app works. I work outside, it's very important to know when exactly it's going to rain. When I need to find out the weather, it's really like flipping a coin, if I win the toss and the damn app works, it's pretty accurate. If I lose the coin toss, well then it just sucks for me at that time. I would really say, it's 50/50

I am writing because I miss the old version of your app. I don't find the wind speed that was available in the old one or the pollen counts readily available. This would be a great new update!!! Please consider! : ) I also would prefer the choice to receive the critical wearher and local updates ONLY and not just the morning and evening texts of news. Thanks for asking for input!!

Why?! Ugh! You ruined a perfectly good app that Im sure many people depend on. In my case my husband works outside doing dangerous work and I need to quickly be able to look at a decent radar weather map. This new apps weather map doesnt save my overlay preferences and is extremely pixelated and not easy to look at. Just in time for rainy season thanks.

The "new" app is hard to navigate, locks up frequently, and usually doesn't load properly. Links are often not working properly, and the weather information, in particular, is lacking. It no long provides wind information (or if it does, it is very well hidden), and over half the time weather radar just doesn't work. When it does, it also lacks features available in the "old" app. Pleas take these issues seriously and provide a better functioning app. Until then, I just can't use the app.

Lately, I haven't been able to access the news. I will receive a headIine story pop up, on my screen, but when I try to open it up, it takes me to a sign in screen for unlimited access. The bar to touch to access the sign in feature does absolutely nothing, but flicker a little when touched. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the app several times, with no success. I give up. This app is completely useless now!

Very well designed app. It is clean, sharp looking and organized well. I read a previous reviewers review and he mentioned not being able to log in as a spectrum subscriber. In the opening screens when you first install the app I noticed that I couldn't log in either. Once in the app tap on the outline of a person in the top left. In there you can choose to sign in, it worked for me.
