This app is a major disappointment. Many channels are messed up, audio disappears intermittently, buffers constantly, among other things. I've had three technicians at my house changing out equipment and wiring. They all agree, it's the lousy app. Spectrum service doesn't know what to do so they say they'll have someone call me back and no one does...sad day for customer service. The app was out over 8 hours a couple of days ago. Now it doesn't work at all. I'm so frustrated.

So what am I getting for $200+ a month? Don't bother trying to use it on 5G. Too many pauses.
What junk. The voice keeps going out while I'm trying to watch a show. Half the time like others above I get the same error it can't find my network. And lastly it won't load on my phone, my I pad or computer. I've called three times for tech support after about an hour they say they need to install updates or reset my modem, the last time they had Samsung take control of my TV and do some updates. Each time the app works for 30 min to an hour after they hang up and it starts all over again. if you're looking into getting this APP don't waste your money I'm going back to the antennae. It works way better, not as many channels but the channels I do get, come in.
I'm not sure if it's the app or overall bad connection through spectrum. We watch through the app on our Samsung smart TV. It constantly stops and restarts (plays about 3 seconds, then stops and replays) and freezes during shows. When it reconnects, it sometimes does so at such a horrible resolution that I feel like I'm back in the 80s watching on an old tube TV. Maybe even a VCR recording of an old tube TV... On a tape that has been recorded on 100 times. Yeah, that bad.
Worked pretty well (buffered a lot & sometimes wouldn't work @ all), but after the last update, almost all of the channels are gone. We had several movies on the list to watch on demand but those all now say "upgrade to watch" even though the channels are included in the package we have. Please fix this utterly useless app so we can get the channels we pay for again!
Good when your not two mins late paying a bill. Otherwise they limit your WiFi and we paid the bill 5 days ago and we still have terrible WiFi. I cannot say a good review if this keeps happening. Why pay for it if you don't accept payments the day of the payment...........!!!!!!!! It's almost like they don't care about their customers... What's new? Now they have taken the payment but still no WiFi. Go figure..
Horrible app. We opted to use the app to stream our cable to TV rather than paying the ridiculous monthly fee they want to charge you every single month for boxes. At this point, it's not even worth paying for the cable. Every day there are reliability issues. Can't connect, doesn't load, buffers then cuts out saying there were problems playing, etc. Tired of hearing the "I'm sorry you're not having a good experience ".
Works fine, but having to sit through commercials, while watching movies on the premium channels, that we pay too much for, is totally ridiculous. As many as 6 or more, that last up to 225 seconds, has made us rethink paying for actual cable tv. There are just too many other options that have ad-free options, and canceling Spectrum would let us buy them all!
It's okay when it works BUT it keeps dropping many of the channels on my mobile devices (android phone and tablet) and tells me to connect via Wi-Fi. However, it then doesn't connect via Wi-Fi. This is extremely frustrating since I am rarely able to watch a full program on my mobile devices. Interestingly enough, the Spectrum channels never get disconnected. Update: Tried 3 times to connect with website address given in the response but unable to connect any time- browser just bounces me off.😠
This app is horrible! You can't rewind,fast forward or pause your shows. Recordings can,but you can't see how far back or forward you are going. It's always buffering and since you can't rewind,you miss a part of what you're watching. Also,sometimes you get a message that says action can't be completed,but you didnt try to do anything, so again you miss a part of whatever you were watching Some shows are missing episodes of a serie,it's all very frustrating.
I use the app on my roku TV. The guide function doesn't allow for jumping to a channel quickly which means I have to scroll constantly. Adding a small search that can be done using a "keypad" would make the app much more convenient for me. Other than that it would be nice to have a reminder setting that would change to the channel I want when selected shows come on. That said the streaming seems to be smooth and I can't really tell the difference between streaming and watching TV using a box
Don't get it. It used to work but now it doesn't. You can't watch anything without it buffering or just straight up not playing. I pay for tv, phone, and wifi from them, but cant even watch what i want to. You can watch the adds though. They always make sure they play all the way through with no buffering. It's annoying. Fix the bugs and maybe I'll leave you a little better of a review
Constantly having issues/error messages. App won't load, tells me to come back later, can't watch anything on phone, tablet. Getting really tired of spectrum and the prices they charge when you're not even able to use all of their Services due to constant "issues". Half the time at home, I'm not even able to get local channels on my cable box . Very frustrating.
The app is nearly impossible for viewing movies. I love star wars and when all that's on live TV is political garbage and how bad things in the world are right now (aka the 50 "different" news channels) I like to watch it. However, when I'm halfway through a movie it will show 250 seconds of annoying ads that I can't skip (btw that's the ONLY time I want to skip) and then it will restart the movie! In summary, 1.Put skipping back on ads, and 2.Fix the glitches that hinder me from watching movies
Spectrum on demand on my TV is not good quality. If I want to watch a series there is a good chance, almost always, that at least one episode will not work right. I guess their encoding system is very low quality. And often the aspect ratio is for a cathode TV even for new shows. Good that they have shows when they are first released though. But if you want reliability look elsewhere. Spectrum please fix this.
App is almost completely useless!!! Cant watch your recordings on it. You can't watch anything live unless you're on your home wifi... which completely defeats the purpose of a "MOBILE APP"!!! If you're at home, YOU CAN JUST WATCH IT ON YOUR TV!!! It does give you the option to set up a recording from the app... but that function only works once in every 20 tries. It will say it's set up... but rarely actually records. And it can only work if you leave your dvr turned on when you leave home.
Terrible. No ability to pause or rewind live tv. My biggest complaint is that the tv version of the app doesn't show a preview as you fast forward or rewind through programming so you have no idea when to stop and play. Don't know if the mobile app is the same because I can't even get it to playback a recording!! Also, tv app won't let me play local channels live at work. (I'm self-employed.) I can record local channel programming and playback but not watch the channels live.
"On Demand" is 100% unusable. Whenever I reach the end of an ad break, the app buffers for a moment before the adbreak timer resets, looping the same ad again, and again, and again....Forever. I've not been able to watch a single thing on this app. Outta be renamed to "Adware TV" as the ads seem to be the only thing it can stream. I wish I could give 0 stars.
I'm running this on Android phones and a tablet. Works OK most of the time. On the tablet, it hangs on Spectrum commercials several times an hour. It hangs in the exact same frame of the commercials. Ironically, they are usually Spectrum commercials for watching TV on the go! If I leave it, occasionally it will resume after a minute or so. If I switch to Home and then back to Live TV, it resume playing live. Other than the freezing, the UI is generally primitive with some poor design choices.
We wanted to love streaming to our smart TV using Spectrum. But we hate it. Setting up recordings is easy on my phone app. But watching them on Roku TV is awful. When you try to ff or rewind, you can't see what you're skipping. It's nearly impossible to navigate to different live channels without going back to the home screen, and you can't pause, rewind or ff live TV. Switching from one screen to the next is very slow. All this might be better if I could use my phone app to control the TV app.
