Best expense tracker! It is extremely easy to setup and use, very user friendly. I have had it since 2016. I can see my expenses by month, by year, by account, by categories, you can set categories by color, by icons. I haven't had any issue with it in the four years I have had it. Haven't even had to wish it had more features, instead I realize how many functions it has when I actually need to track something in a different way. I totally recommend this app if you like to track your money.
Reviews for Spending Tracker
← Back to Spending TrackerThe app is pretty good. Fairly easy to customize the look and functions. There are three things I like to see in a finance app; ability to sort transactions by date, newest at the bottom (like people usually do when making a list or entering items in a check register) and ability to open the app showing the last transaction. Have a payee line so I know where my money is spent (e.g. Kohls) not just a category (e.g. clothing). Ability to automatically insert decimal places in the Amount line.
Helps me organize my finances. I love the category system and how you can change from days, weeks, or months. I go by month nearly exclusively and I was able to point out that reducing going out to eat was how I could save money by having a different category for groceries and "eating out." You have to be consistent with tracking your money, but you really realize where its going and you can become more frugal. Also line/pie chart when you rotate your phone is cool for those who dont know.
I've tried a lot of budget trackers & this is the best by far, I've been using it for years. I'm not very good with math & have a lot of recurring expenses so I was really looking for an app that could do the math for me & help me keep track of my due dates & salary. The only thing it's missing is a savings goal and debt tracking function, I haven't been able to find an app that does both monthly planning and goals/debt tracking well. If those functions could be added the app would be perfect.
Perfect little app! Nicely designed; easy to navigate and simplified! Small price for PRO, although I didn't see any ads? Nice app, you should give it a look! :). Oh yes, it has a dark look. Just a tip for an update, make the dark, BLACK! It's a much nicer look and extremely easy on the eyes! It's still a 5 star app! One more thing: you can automatically back up to Dropbox! A real plus!
Simple app, overall not difficult to use- no export function or sync with multiple accounts. Created a Dropbox account, thinking I would be able to view the data as I have multiple people in my household. Doesn't seem to be an option. This make keeping track of everything. If it had at least one of those features, it would definitely be at least 4*. Edit- After some research, it looks like the paid version can export, however, I upgraded but I still can't export.
Simple yet very flexible app to manage your finance. I set myself a weekly budget to control my spending. Spending Tracker allows me to input as much or as little information as I require. It can display my spending in monthly or weekly format. For me, it's not important what I spend on so my categories are very generic and broad. I just need to know if I'm being my weekly limit or not. So yeah, I highly recommend this app.
Just what I was looking for. I used to use a app, Balance and Budget, made by Kaloer but it hasn't been updated in around 10 years and my Pixel won't run the old version I have. This app is what I needed, I actually use it for gallons of gas allowance I get every month but there's nothing out there simple like this for gas. So I just put my gallons in as dollars and it works great. Bought the ad removal. Excellent!
Nice and simple. It would be great if there was an additional view in the reports area to show your account balance over a time period and to be able to enter your current account balances so you can see what your balance will be at points in the future. Also, it doesn't seem friendly for setting up "savings" accounts. I had to setup an expense on one account and an income on the savings account to achieve this.
I think this is a phenomenal app to help keep track of where my money has gone, is going, and how much I have left at the end of a day, week, month, or year.. LOVE THAT PART!!!! If I could change anything, it would ONLY be that I could see a calendar showing days color coded of when a bill is due and when it's paid. LUV NO LIMITED FEATS. & NO SUBSCRIPTION!
Had this for 3 or 4 years and it was amazing, I've been able to keep track of my finances and when I got married recently my husband got it as well. We both paid for the pro version and had backups and out of the blue a few weeks later, all the information except the names of my accounts are gone. The backups disappeared, I don't understand what happened. When I tried pressing the help button in the app it was completely unhelpful. This is so so disappointing and surprising.
It's a pretty decent money tracker with the exception of two things. 1. When you transfer between accounts and then see the transfer under the transaction tab, it doesn't say what account the money came from. This is fine if you only have two accounts, but its confusing if you have more than that. 2. All Accounts does not give an accurate depiction of all of your accounts. I've noticed transactions missing and/or repeated and the total balance is inaccurate. But aside from that its fine.
Spending Tracker, for me, has been a fun experience. I have it installed on my new phone which easily allowed me to transition from the old one. I do find it a bit of a learning curve to work with multiple accounts (i.e. Savings, Personal, Credit Cards use verses payments), but I'm getting there. I do wish there was a autofill feature on the app for expenditures/payments etc. Auto backup and Synch is a life saver, especially between phone and computer (or equipment failures). Colors/Icons super.
I've used this app about 10yrs. I love it! It's simple, logical, all manual entry which I prefer, I would rather not link bank accounts and have my spending categorized differently than as I do. I love the ability to add as many categories /accounts as I want and name them. The only thing I wish was available was a way to filter multiple categories/accounts at once. Like say "groceries" and "eating out" at once so I can see how much I've spent on food as a whole for the month.
As close to ideal as I could find. Of course it would be convenient to automatically track all of your debit and credit transactions, but I guess the institutions just don't want us doing that. So, as long as you're diligent with recording your transactions, you'll have a very convenient running balance of whatever budget you set.
I have been using this for my family for over two years. It's the best everyday person monthly budget tracker. It has various customization for things like recurring bills, as well as a myriad of icons to use for certain categories of expenses and income. I cannot recommend a better more straight forward app that is super easy to use and help keep superfluous spending down.
I absolutely love this app. I've been using it for at least 3 years now. It allows you to track recurring expenses and income, and you can easily categorize everyday expenses. I also love that you can store and restore backups. Yes, the ads are annoying, but as soon as an ad starts, I just quickly exit and re-enter the app and get on with business. This is the best spending tracker app I've used to date!
I'm hoping this is the 1st ever "Budget App" I used way back when it had a different icon, maybe over 10 years ago. I remember it, the UI looks very similar, I'm pretty sure it's the one. If so, very detailed and excellent for tracking your expenses down to your last cents and pennies. Because every dollar counts and money is money. I wish I could see an old icon picture. Will update shortly since now commercials, etc.
The app is simple to use, but doesn't always calculate your remaining balance correctly. I've had several instances where the remaining balance would be slightly off from my financial statement, and I couldn't figure out why. And yes, I made sure that I had entered my spending amounts correctly. The last error was when I had to enter a transaction twice to get it to match my actual account balance.
First review is below. 7 years later I'm still using this app. Recently switched phones & all my data migrated perfectly. Things I love: Export Categorize transactions Multiple accounts So easy to use 5 ⭐️s Probably the most frequently used app on my phone. Love it! It's easy to use and really helps me keep track of where I'm spending my money. The ONLY thing I would add is a check box of sorts to indicate that a charge has cleared my account. Is that possible?
