Description
Been using the Spin – Electric Scooters app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you find and unlock shared electric scooters in your area. Pretty convenient if you need to get around the city and don’t feel like driving or taking the bus.
Here’s how it works – you just open the app, find the nearest Spin scooter on the map, then scan the QR code or enter the ID to unlock it. And there’s also a button to reserve scooters if the one you want is already in use. Once you’re all set, you can take the scooter to your destination, riding in the bike lanes and stuff.
Look, if you’re looking for an easy, eco-friendly way to get around, Spin is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the scooters can be a bit finicky sometimes and the app has a few bugs – but overall it gets the job done. Definitely beats driving or waiting for the bus.
Editor Opinion
I've tested a bunch of these shared scooter apps and Spin is one of the better ones in my experience. The app is pretty straightforward to use and the scooters themselves are decent quality. The range and speed are good enough for quick trips around the city. On the downside, I've had a few connection issues with the app and the scooters can be hard to find at peak times. But for the most part, Spin is a solid option if you need some wheels and don't want to deal with a car.
