This web shell of an app is next to useless. In its present state, all it's good for is browsing products. When it comes to anything to do with purchasing an item, the buttons for filling out forms or any action items don't work properly. I was forced to go to my web browser to actually make a purchase because this "app" refused to take my card info. Poor quality control and testing.

I had to download a whole separate app for the update just to see if something was in the store I was standing in. After trying to open the app 20 times and it continually telling me I need to update, I was able to set my store and search, but nothing told me where in the store to look. It's like we've warped back to 2010, why would you release an app that clearly wasn't ready??
I saw there was a new app, so downloaded today, hoping it would be better than the last. Nope. Still can't process a simple print job. Everytime I checked the file to do download and clicked DONE, it re-routed me back to the print home page instead of downloading the file. Deleted the app and went back to the web based version. Was done in 5 mins.
App WOULD NOT save my Debit Card!!! I had an item in my Shopping Cart and had to save a payment method - I filled in my Debit Card info, and when I hit the "Save" button - nothing happened!!! I did this 5 times and then tried to pay with PayPal and that didn't work either!!! I finally gave up and ordered it through Amazon!!!
Can't delete a very old address on my account. So I try to edit it to my current address but whenever the cursor is in the data entry field, up pops up my rewards card. The only way to enter something is by typing it outside of the app and then cut & paste to the data entry field in the app. If you put the cursor there w/o the paste prompt icon to tap on then the rewards card will pop up and you can't enter anything. It's very frustrating. I'll just order online instead of using the app.
Useless stupid app, all it does is open a badly-designed webpage which also doesn't work, it keeps resetting the page every time I pause for a few seconds, can't buy anything with it. Horrible, awful, bad. Faster to just go to the store (Staples or somewhere else) in person rather than waste time trying to place an order with this miserable broken app.
I've been a member for over a decade. I'm a premier member and recycle the MAX number of ink cartridges a month. I have received rewards for them regularly. This app is making me create a new account. Is there no existing account option? The sweet employees at Staples keep recommending the app to me like it's the greatest thing to access my rewards. I don't care about the app. If it works, I may use it, but it doesn't, and it needs to be fixed.
A very disappointing App. At first, it worked pretty well but suddenly it started glitching, by now, I can't even login anymore. Customer service was of no help. They were unfamiliar how to resolve thus problem. Instead of placing an order with Staples I had to place it with Amazon. I wish Staples would make it easier and more pleasant.
What if nearly everything was tiny, as though you were on Desktop Mode in your phone browser? What if clicking on the weekly ad in the banner took you to an entirely unrelated page? Find out the answer to these questions and more by simply downloading this app! Good luck logging in if you use a username to log into the Staples website rather than an email address.
Useless!!! It never works. Now I can't even log in anymore. Tells me there is already an account. App thinks I'm trying to create a new account. What's the point of rewards when you can't access them?! I'll buy supplies at Amazon. They will deliver to my door at same cost since I can't use rewards. AUGH!!!
I had help getting this set up but have had trouble using it the last 2 times. Now they can't look up my rewards with my phone number. I have $5 reward from recycle ink and could not use it. Paid full price. I want to use local stores even though I can get my HP ink easier and cheaper on Amazon. I am not able to figure out what to do now. I will uninstall and forget it. Hard for this 80 year old senior.
Online ordering is a joke. The app and website had an item for 1 hour pickup. I placed an order and received the email order notification. The next day still no order update, so 2 hours after opening I go to the store and they tell me there’s no order, even with the order number, and they don't keep the item in stock since it ships from the warehouse. The item they had in stock was the more expensive version of the same item. I'll look elsewhere. This is not the first time I have an issue.
Went to store in person. Didn't see fine print until after I got there that one of the discounts I wanted could only be done online or with the app. Tried downloading the app. Total lack of clarity as to any overlap with preexisting rewards account. Ended up not being able to set up app account or get the discount. I don't recommend this app.
Total bugfest. It said there was a new version. So I updated, and when I open it, it loops back to say there's a new version. Then I can't log in. I have a Staples account. I give it my email address, and it wants to set me up as a new account. Complete fail. Uninstalling. Earlier was in February. Tried again today. Thinks I'm a new account and wants my company information. You'd have that if you'd just let me sign in.
Could be good, but overrun with annoyances. If you don't give the app notifications permissions-- which you DEFINITELY don't need -- it will pester you about it every time you interact with it. Your only options are 'enable notifications' and 'maybe later '. Apparently 'maybe later' really means ASK ME EVERY TIME I EVEN LOOK AT THIS APP. Additionally, it logs you out like ten minutes and requires you to do a squiggly letter verification every time you use it, which is just swell.
Have had the app since it came out with no issues. This most recent update has rendered it unusable. After being prompted to update the app, it won't open and is in an endless loop of prompting me to update. Uninstalled it, restarted the phone, reinstalled, and had the same problem. I can't access my accrued balance. This is terrible timing, at the beginning of the school year when I'm purchasing for my classroom!
This might be one of the worst retailer apps I've ever used in my life. It resets you back to the home page at random, won't let you sign into your account even after changing and confirming passwords, freezes and crashes when uploading documents, doesn't actually show true store inventory, and every action takes 3x longer to load than any other app. Poorly optimized, frustrating to use, wish I could give it zero stars.
Not for individuals. This app is not usable (or made way too complicated) for an individual to process a simple print job. I click on the help selection to find answers and there are no links to lead you to solve your problem. I'm not a business. I just want to save images from my phone to my account, select simple printing options, make an order and pick up the printed materials from my order at the store. Why is this impossible?
It's terrible I can never get signed In. Everytime u click on the app I have u have to download again. It's hit or miss if it accepts my password or username. It never works when I'm at the store. So it delays me checking out. I like the old 1 better it was easier to login, navigate and find the rewards/coupons. When it changed it also lost all of my rewards points so I started over and I had a credit from recycling. I'm sitting in the store right now not able to get coupons or the add.
The app is a buggy mess and there's no dirt way to report bugs or contact support for the app. I got the app to help make my printing projects faster however the only printing option available is holiday cards. There is no ption to do basic printing, just holiday cards. This is strange bug to have and I tried to reach out to staples for help but there is no support for problems found in the app.
