There is a bug in this app, where when you go back to the 1700s and earlier, the position of the sun and clock suddenly don't sync. More precisely, the sun (and sky) was in right position, but the clock suddenly showed the wrong number. I love this app and am planning to buy the bundle, but I hope the bugs are fixed first.
Reviews for Star Walk 2 Pro:Night Sky View
← Back to Star Walk 2 Pro:Night Sky ViewReally nice app. I think I like it better than mobile Stellarium. Lots of good content and features. Only one gripe really ... I'd like to see an option to adjust moon and planet size/brightness, as what's on my screen doesn't really reflect my subjective view of the sky. Tonight for instance, Jupiter is much brighter than Aldebaran. But this is reversed in the app with Aldeberan being brighter. And I think the moon should be bigger, or at least have an option to make it so.
Amazing app! Homeschooling essential!!! Touche'!!! 👏👏👏
Little bit disappointed in that after all the purchasing of additional content, the display offers the least usable way of identifying deep sky objects. In a constellation displayed they are not labelled unless you zoom in. You have to know that they are there rather than have them clearly labelled on the sky map at constellation scale. Unless, of course, I'm missing something in the setup!!
Purchased what I thought was the full paid version. But when you go into the app it entices you to make yet another purchase to get the rest of the content. The initial purchase is just for "ad free" and the next purchase is for additional content. So I had to make two purchases to get everything. Why didn't you just do a free version and a paid version and that's all? I previously purchased this for my previous phone a few years ago and it didn't have this problem.
Really great app! Easy to navigate and full of extra information including mythological tales connected to individual constellations. One thing I'm missing is an option to switch the names of objects (mostly constellations) into another language or ideally to show both - the current name and the name in preferred language. Could you please add this feature? I can help you with Slovak and Czech names. Thanks!
I don't know what's going on, but whenever I click to look at a satellite. The entire thing is a pink color. What's happening?
Coming from an amateur, I need all the help I can receive, and this app allows me to explore without having to rely on hand-holding, which is absolutely outstanding!
I love the app but, I did the pay for the add content after I open the app and the add content it's still unpaid, I need to pay two times to unlock the content?, I'll try the suggestion but still the same thing
beautiful, elegant, and intelligent 🧭 Edit: 05:21pm EDT on 08/27/2025 ⚠️ Some of the night vision in all red with what looks like crosshairs could be a major risk to unassuming people being framed in deep, fake and Cyber crime related attacks on companies that are industry leaders in AI. I'm about to post a FB screenshot of it. The app used to have several colored spectrums you could look through. Now there's only the standard one and then a dark red hue with gyroscopic crosshairs.
Brilliant app, just beautiful. Few thing I'd like to see: a slider for UI opacity/size or an option to hide all UI elements, even if they are in the corners and non-intrusive. Also FOV setting would be nice, I can zoom out a bit but it always snaps back. Ty for the reply, worth all the stars & premium! PS: some way to increment the passing of time would also be amazing (instead of getting the flick just right on the wheel).
First and foremost I am a novice star gazer. I lay for hours staring into the vast darkness wondering why they spend billions upon billions of dollars so that we can get numbers on paper so someone can put a dot on another paper and show it to me. Any how, the app. is awesome, lots of features, moves in real time, can be calibrated. Lots of helpful information. Easy to navigate, and use. Nothing out there can help us here.Spend billions fixing planet then space for fun not because we needtomove
As stated by others, a great app in theory. I was attempting to find NEOWISE, and needed the "extended solar system". Apparently, i already have that permission as there is no purchase option, but am unable to extract it. After several frantic emails with customer support - i dont want to wait the 6,800 years to see the comet again - and several attempts at reinstallation, the ultimate best solution suggested was a factory reset. Tried that - wiped my phone in the process - and still unresolved.
As a lover of stars and beginner in astrophotography, a friend recommended this app and it has changed how I can look at the sky. I love this app. I only get annoyed with the one type of default overlay; what the constellation represents as an object or person etc. The good news is I can remove it! The ability for it to locate via compass is time saving and makes things easier for me as a beginner. It can pinpoint the horizon which is also extremely helpful. Worth every penny!
As a constant stargazer, this app has been an amazing tool in helping me navigate the cosmos. It affords you the ability to find out which constellations are nearby, which planets are within those constellations, all with a streamlined presentation. One of my favorite features is the photo feature that allows you to take a picture of your surroundings, while pointing out and drawing on the constellation lines. This is definitely a fun and useful app!
This application is wonderful, in many ways. It's simply gorgeous. But I've noticed there are a few things that could make it way better. You could add more features for the spectrum. Veiwng planets , galaxies, and the like in infrared, or gamma. Also, it would be cool to see voyager 1 and 2!. Also, quasars, black holes, and exoplanets! I've purchased the full version of this app and I love it, I just noticed those few things. Hats off. I'll give you a Constellation, of 5 shining stars. 🌟
Dont forget to uninstall the free version(Android) if you had that app prior to the paid version. I had both the free and paid version and continued receiving notifications from both. Everytime I would open a notification it would take me to the free version with ads. Super annoying, until I uninstalled the Sky Walk 2 Free version. For some reason I thought it was the year 2021 and the app developers had this figured out.
I downloaded the free version. really like it and then upgraded to the full version. There are so many features and notifications mean I am seeing so many more objects in the sky. A must for anyone who wants to know more and see many celestial objects. there is a learning curve to utilize everything this app has to offer. So take a cew minutes to acquaint yourself after you download.
Be careful before you buy the app. 1. Before you buy the app, it (the free one) keeps showing ads to remind the users that there is another app which has no ads. 2. After you buy it, it also keeps showing reminders to let the users give it a rate. It can not be closed, which is very annoying. The app didn't know what the users really need, it is more useless than those free apps.
I downloaded starwalk 2 free, then paid about $6.96 for all the extra extensions. I couldn't access them, so I went ahead and paid for the starwalk 2 full app, logged back into that and now it's telling me I have to pay for the bundle again. I was supposed to have been sent some redeem codes, but I never got those. Can't recommend this app at all right now. Maybe if the developers fix this problem, then I will be able to recommend it. *tried to get a refund for $3.00 and was denied.
