I really like the app. You can only store 20 patterns and 20 fabrics on the free version. I think £3.50 a month is too much money to pay but would add more storage space. The app is easy to use and navigate however I'm not going to use it for long due to lack of space given.
Reviews for Stash Hub: Sewing Organiser
← Back to Stash Hub: Sewing OrganiserUntil I started using Stashhub, I spent the majority of my 'sewing time' looking at my large stash of fabrics, not knowing how much I had of each, flicking through piles of patterns that I wanted to make but not knowing where to start... procrastinating and feeling overwhelmed. Now, all of my fabrics, patterns, my measurements, planned projects and shopping list for notions is in one handy app. I'm suddenly organised and so motivated to sew again. Best app ever. Love it!
This WONDERFUL app is exactly what I wanted & far better than what I was using! After entering my stash/patterns/notions, I can so easily plan my projects from anywhere! The vital info I need for planning is always there, without having to dig out my fabric/patterns. The info can also be filtered to speed up my searches. No more duplicate purchases or forgetting what I have! I love that stats section, the sewing challenges and the accessibility of the developers.
This is great app and there is serious development behind. For anyone hesitating about the subscription fee: it is good to realise this is a niche product, there are people who actually are working actively to add new features and there's probably quite some cost for server usage, since everything is savely put in the cloud. If you've spend a lot of money on fabrics and patterns, and you realise you can save by having a better insight of what you have, the price is probably worth it.
Love this app, it was exactly what I was looking for! Easy and quick to use, love being able to filter my patterns and fabrics, I use it often when in stores to find out what to buy/what patterns I could use fabric for. Being constantly updated with the features you really want. No brainer to subscribe!
an amazing tool for all sewists. helps keep track of all your fabric and pattern stash! wouldn't be without it!
I love this app. I now know exactly what fabric and patterns I have without having to rummage through cupboards. Magic Input for patterns makes uploading a doddle and the Wishlist option mean I can immediately log a 'want' wherever I am. No more scrappy notes on random bits of paper. Fabulous app and well worth the subscription.
A fantastic app. Easy and intuitive to use. A real game changer, and a money saver, because it enables you to check your stash from anywhere. Have I got enough of that denim to make this pattern? yes - no need to buy more! In fact, I've already got the pattern in my stash too... Less wasted fabric. More space in the sewing room. And invaluable for those daydreaming moments when you're wondering what to sew next. (In fact, I use it to keep track of my stash of seeds for the garden too!)
I like the layout, I like the functionality and I like that I can see everything in one place. But I didn't realise you could I only store 20 patterns and spent ages inputting them to get stuck. I don't sew enough to pay for the upgrade, but that doesn't stop it being a good app for someone who sews a lot and can afford it.
Fabulous. This app is great! Super easy and clear to use. Some ideas for the future are - I'd love a desktop option to do some of the heavy lifting when first uploading the stash. I'd also love to be able to turn on/off when the items are editable, I had a couple of accidents.
This app has helped me manage my growing fabric/pattern buying addiction!! Its so easy to add and categorise what you have and I always consult the app when in a fabric shop so I know what patterns I would like to make next and how much fabric I need for them. New features are always being added and Doug and Yvette are very responsive to any issues. Wouldn't be without it!
Brilliant app. Very user friendly, the amount of detail you can add is great. The only thing I wish you could do is a reverse search, to find the things that aren't tagged as well as for the things that are tagged. But overall, would highly recommend. Added to say since the last update where I can now log all my bag making hardware, if I could give this 10 stars, I would. Worth every single penny. Fantastic.
Uploading photos is frustratingly slow, especially when adding more than one at a time. If my phone locks, the upload stops, which is very inconvenient. Deleting pictures is also tedious since you can only remove one at a time by opening each item individually. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with these issues.
Helps organise one area of my life. I had no idea what I had so kept buying the same or similar fabric/thread/patterns because sorting through a myriad of giant boxes to check what I had each time was too much to contemplate. I am super disorganised, so withing the first 15 minutes of actually USING this app, I was teary (subscribed a few months ago but thought it would be a daunting task). This app makes it so you can allow your stash to inspire you to create.
My "sewing sister" saw this app somewhere so we both downloaded today and so far, we are both impressed. Will continue on the free version to see how this suits my sewing, but i think the yearly subscription is probably worth its weight in gold. I am finding it odd that there is no "save" button but hey if it works, don't fix it. If i subscribe can I add a second device (tablet) on the one sub? Update: thanks for your prompt response, now connected over 2 devices (tried it before your reply)
I can't believe I left it so long between downloading this app and starting to use it (a whole year). I've got a lot of projects on the go currently as various Christmas presents so I entered them into Stashhub to keep track. It was really easy to do and I loved that I could create entries for fabric / patterns / people directly from the projects etc, while continuing to compile the projects. It's really well designed and intuitive and I feel more relaxed about my multiple projects now.
Best app I've ever purchased! I've really struggled with how to easily organise my patterns and fabric, I live in a small house, and by necessity, my supplies need to be kept in our small storage area. As I cannot see them easily, I often forget what I have. This app has been a game changer! I also love that I can flick through my paper and PDF patterns without having to pull anything out. I also love the ease of creating projects- I love to use it as a way to jot my thoughts down on the go.
This looked like just the thing for my fabric stash until I realized that you can only enter 20 items unless you upgrade to the subscription based unlimited Plus version. I have no problem with paying a one time price for a good app or program but I dont do monthly/yearly subscription based ones where i'll lose all my work if I stop paying. This might be just the thing for some people, but not for me.
Can only hold 20 fabrics unless you pay a subscription. I'd rather make a PowerPoint or a doc holding all the info I need rather than do that.
Should dictate immediately, preferably on the download page, but at least somewhere before registering an account that this is a demo. At least I could delete my account on my own without contacting the devs. Would be willing to pay a one time purchase fee but not a subscription. I understand devs need to make money and support servers but I loathe software as service and refuse to be bitten by it. I'm going to continue to using GCStar, it seems.
