Not bad, not bad at all. Great charts, would like to have an option to put VWAP as indicators. Also, links are a good idea, however, Forbes, Reuters and Seeking Alpha don't work on my end, all the others seem to be working fine. Would be great if we could see extended hours price. Badly needs a dark theme for AMOLED screen.
What a falling off we have here! This used to be the best stock app for Android.but they've taken so many features away that it becomes just another routine stock app. They took away the minute charts of the same chart, they took away the weekly charts They took away your ability to find the exact high or low of the stock market and replaced it with just another routine chart program. My stocks portfolio & stock futures use less data and offer more.
Can't change my password. I got an alert that InvestorVista had a data breech and my details were part of the file. The app logs me in and loads all my information but can't change my password. The breech seems to have occurred in 2022, so anyone who has had account with this app previously to that year. Change any passwords that are the same as this apps.
Charts data feed stopped working around mid May 2021 on my LG Stylo 3 smart phone. So I contacted Stockspy tech support. Tech support CAN'T figure this simple problem out and their solutions were basic procedures anyone already has tried such as force stop. They don't even understand the workings of their own app!! I downloaded Stock Spy on my other 2 backup smart phones. SAME ISSUE! What was a great app has turned out to be garbage. No paid upgrade to PRO version for me, of course.
Why do you bill the pro version of this app as realtime when the lowest minute chart you provide is a 5 minute chart? This limits the value of an otherwise decent program. Without 1 minute charts, there are too many times you leave the user guessing on where the price is going. That's a disappointing compromise on the quality of your software for the user.
Developer moved to a subscription based model after crippling the original one-time fee paid app and it no longer provides financial stats on many stocks. Data is not free but who knows how accurate/timely it is. Update: Stock data is horribly inaccurate with the latest update (9.1). Data in STATS tab on individual stocks either has a high error rate or is absent altogether (i.e. earnings multiples, EPS etc.). The app is only good for price action, it is in no way a fundamental research tool.
I have been using this app for awhile to get the best data for my trades. It helps supplement other tools, and has given me an opportunity to increase my stocks values, as well as points me to other resources that are available to make an informed purchase decision. I have read some negative reviews, and this tool works as it should, and should not be used as your only resource. You need to do additional research. This app is a tool that delivers price,charts,and news realtime.
Constantly provides inaccurate data. For example, today is May 10th but Stock Spy is showing prices from May 9th on about 3/4 of the stocks I monitor. Completely unreliable and has been for over a year. Switched from an iPhone to android and it was the same problem on the iPhone. If you want reliable data, find a different app.
I love this app. Especially the news feed!! But the only downside is that, i am not getting alerts/notification when there is a new article published against a company. I have to go through all companies in my watchlist from time to time to know the articles published against them. Instead, if i get a push notification when there is a new article for a company being tracked in my watchlist, it would be awesome!!
Free version has a 5-trade limit, and you can only trade each symbol once. Starting a trade and not finishing it also counts as a trade, apparently. Delete and move on. Also, info is slow to load on 4G. Any website loads 10x quicker on the browser. Best feature: does not require logging into anything.
