The app doesn't work on the pixel 8. The app crashes after opening. It only stays open for about 30 seconds and there is no way to contact stocktwits. When you go to contact us, there is no way to get help from customer service. It is a useless loop of trouble shooting that is completely irrelevant. It should be illegal for a business to have no customer support/service especially when you were a paying customer.

Update... After more than a month, they got it fixed, and the ads are gone. Not a bad deal for them getting my fee plus ad revenue. ........ I'm still seeing ads even after buying ad free. Also linked account is showing wrong amounts. While I am bitching very poor links to major international indexes. After ST reply I sent everything you asked for over 2 weeks ago but I am still seeing ads.

This app helped me tap into a wealth of social stock knowledge that was fresh and up to the minute. In addition you get insight on how other traders are thinking and what their moves are. My learning curve was accelerated tremendously because of Stocktwits. I made 500k in in 3 months after being on the app for a little over a year and Stocktwits had a lot to do with that.

This app constantly doesn't update. Most of the time when I open it, it is unable to connect to the servers. There is a bunch of people that keep trying to hype the stocks they own without any real news. The charts dont update quickly and sometimes have to wait awhile. Good when it works but definitely needs more maintenance on this with how many people use it

StockTwits is a lot of fun. Sometimes you'll find nuggets of good information but it's mostly for entertainment. Do your own DD. I gave only a three star rating because I'm having a persisting problem with the ap switching from dark mode back to light mode. Did a reinstall and same problem after about a week. If they can fix it, then it is a 5 star app. If you pay for data be careful, this app sucks data. I only use on Wi-Fi.

Picked up a new phone a few days ago. Downloaded the app on the new phone and can't find my old username and password. Will not allow me to sign in. Emailed customer service twice and can't get a response. Good luck! UPDATE: Customer service just got back to me. I now have access to the app again. Missed this app a lot when I didn't have access. Excellent app for traders and investors.

decent app, I dont like to complain about apps that are free to use. The only thing that can be a problem is the watchlist. It doesn't save your custom sort. 3/30/22, after using it for several months, I stopped using it and uninstalled. Its performance is not consistent, it is laggy and will close itself. Technically, there are other apps out there that have more features and stable. It is mainly a social media app. Though its quite entertaining to read posts between bears and bulls.

Used to be great. At the moment I cannot sign in or access my watch list. This dev cannot fix the dark mode bug to save his life! Recent updates have caused messages typed to never be posted, they just vanish. GIFs in feeds are extremely slow to load or don't load at all. App is complete garbage now and I'm paying $7.99 per MONTH for no ads!!! Zero stars if I could. Hire someone new because you're quickly moving in the wrong direction.

Loading time after the new update is soooooo slow. Better to use it from the website til that gets fixed. Also, the app is full of trolls (there is little to no moderation), the charts are moderately useful, the "fundamentals" aren't very in depth, and the prices are behind the market. Still good for getting/sharing information if you can weed out the troll comments.

Revised.... Best app!!. Thanks for updating whatever that it was that wouldn't allow me to log in. I have had an account for over a year and all of a sudden on my tablet, my watch list is empty and can't log into my account on my phone. Is something going on with this app??? I have tried numerous times to log in, but seems to be an app issue. Have contacted support yesterday, but no response.

My account was suspended for "false rumors" for talking about something that was 100% true and easily verified with an internet search. Instead of getting a warning, deleting my message, or asking me to add a link to it to verify, they just suspended me immediately. Now I can't even login to delete my account. I'm still getting push notifications but can't adjust my settings. It was fun for about a week though.

Where did all my Data go? Maybe I just noticed it this month, but this is terrible! It doesn't matter if I'm in the app or use it through Google/Chrome on my phone it absolutely eats up data at a rate I've never seen before. Turning on data saver and turning off background data had no effect. I'm not sure if it's the plethora of ads or something else. Bottom line is this toxic, data hogging site/app can go where the sun don't shine.

Edit: There's a bug when you get a notification on a stock you've watchlisted, open it, then in the feed when you scroll down you get a "screen burn on effect" where you have a still image that's stuck but you can still read your feed behind the "burned in image". My biggest problem w/ stocktwits is that there is way too much politics. My suggestion would be to go elsewhere more intelligent to discuss finance. Stocktwits loves that ad money so don't expect them to do the right thing.

Edit: for the most part, it's been fixed. I love ST. I've been an active member for almost two years. A month or so ago, the app became unstable on my droid. Freezing and closing out within seconds of opening. Sometimes it will let me stay on for a few minutes. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Now it's even worse. It stays open for seconds. I can't search anything or scroll without it freezing. It's unusable for me now. I see others are having the same issues.

App never loads! I spend hours looking at a loading bar on this app , my internet is not slow. I have notifications enabled, and when i click on those notifications, i watch a loading bar for a minimum of a minute, and then it'll say symbol/ user not found. I'd hope you're not trying to hypnotize your customers by forcing them to stare at a loading bar.

It's okay, but the charts need to be WAY better. I mean they are honestly atrocious. You can't interact with them until you click on them and when you do you get a full screen portrait chart that is extremely difficult to make heads or tails of. You have to touch exactly on a line for it to read and it gives you next to no information even when you do. I have to cycle between other charting apps to use this one, and that really shouldn't be the case, for an otherwise enjoyable app.

Was very pleased 2 weeks ago. Had my watchlist setup. Just yesterday I couldn't like comments, then I couldn't post a comment. I go back to my watch list and it was gone. Tried checking my direct messages, those were gone. It's signed me out and never let me sign back in. I did forgot password and it keeps saying invalid. What the heck is going on with you guys?! This used to be great.. now it turned to 💩

While you do have to weed through some garbage (ie: short seller's comments, etc) you can find some really useful information. Other users will often point you toward stocks you, may have, never heard of or thought to give a closer look. I like the format. It can be a bit hard to read the latest comments, when things get heated up though. In some ways, that just makes it more fun!

App Freezes/Can't Use - Been on this platform since 2015. Lately the app starts to freeze up within minutes of opening it. Can't even scroll through a few posts now. I've stopped app, cleared cache, checked version, etc. It's easily overloaded or something. It's the only app on my Samsung Galaxy that does this. I'll change my review when the problem is resolved.

For some reason I can't make an account from the app or from the website. I'm repeatedly informed that something has gone wrong from the website and unable to connect from the app. After being contacted by customer support we were able to figure it out together. If this app isn't anything else at least the customer support is very helpful.
