Description
Been using Stop Motion Studio for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you create stop motion videos, like those old Wallace and Gromit shorts. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can take a bunch of photos and string them together to make a little animated movie. And there’s also an overlay mode that shows the differences between frames, which is pretty cool. And you can copy, paste, and rearrange frames – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.
Look, if you’re into making stop motion videos, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Stop Motion Studio. I've tested a bunch of movie making apps and this one's pretty good for stop motion. It's got a ton of features without being too complicated. The interface is simple to use, the timeline is helpful, and the overlay mode is a nice touch. On the downside, the free version has annoying ads and some of the advanced tools take a while to figure out. But for the price (free!), it's a solid option if you want to get into stop motion.
