So here's my take on StreetEasy. I've tested a bunch of real estate apps and this one's definitely one of the more comprehensive ones for NYC. The amount of data and listing details is impressive - you can really dive deep on any property. And the search features are solid too, although I do find the UI a little cluttered at times. Compared to some of the competition, it's not the most polished or intuitive app. But if you're serious about buying or renting in the city, StreetEasy is a great tool to have in your arsenal.

Description

Been using StreetEasy – Apartments in NYC for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you search for apartments to buy or rent in New York City. Pretty solid if you’re looking to move to the city or just curious about the real estate market.

Here’s what you can do: you can search for apartments by neighborhood, price, and all kinds of amenities like doorman, elevator, pets allowed, and more. There’s also a section that shows you the full history of a listing – how long it’s been on the market, what it last sold for, and what other similar units in the building have gone for. Comes in really handy when you’re trying to get a sense of the local market.

Look, if you’re house hunting in NYC, you’ll probably find this app useful. It’s not perfect – the search can be a bit clunky at times and the agent contact info isn’t always up to date. But overall it does a good job of pulling in all the listings and giving you the tools to research properties. Worth checking out if you’re in the market.

Horrendous UX and buggy app. Hiding listings simply doesn't work. Favoriting a listing is buggy and fails often so we lose the one we wanted to favorite. Why can't I...

This is the worst kind of app. It barely works, but you also NEED it to find apartments in certain cities, so you have to use it even though it...
