Description
I’ve been using Surf Captain for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you super detailed 16-day surf forecasts for the US and Puerto Rico. Pretty solid if you’re into surfing and want to know when the conditions are gonna be good.
Here’s what you can do – you can check the forecasts for different beaches, it’s got all the key info like wave height, wind, and swell direction. And there’s also a little planner feature where you can bookmark your favorite spots. Took me a while to figure that out but it’s actually pretty useful.
Look, if you’re a surfer or just into beach/ocean stuff, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can be kinda annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does a great job of keeping you up to date on the surf. Worth checking out for sure.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Surf Captain. I've tested a bunch of weather and surf forecast apps, and this one's one of the better ones I've used. The forecasts are impressively accurate, and the UI is super clean and easy to navigate. And personally, I like how you can bookmark your favorite spots and get notifications when conditions are looking good. On the downside, the ads can get a little intrusive, and I wish there were a few more features like swell charts or the ability to compare forecasts side-by-side. But overall, it's a pretty solid app if you need reliable surf info.
