Reviews for SyncUP DRIVE ™

I've been with t-mobile for close to 15 years now. This is the worst device ever. Unstable freeze for long period of time (like days). I had the device replaced and the second doing the same thing. Call so many times to customer service. They have no clue on how to troubleshoot the both of the device. This device I would recommend to a blind man. Save your money not worth the headaches. It will allow me yo post freeze picture.

Terrible, inaccurate, glitchy, constantly has bugs. Sometimes, it just tells me it's not available. Sometimes, it kicks me out. If T-mobile would stop spending their money naming baseball fields and false advertising about how good their service is, (it's garbage service)they might have a reliable phone service or reliable GPS for our work vehicles. The only reason the app got one star is because zero is not an option.

Tried on 2 different devices, android and ios. Both give a perpetual login screen. Cannot get past login screen on either device. Update- Seems they implemented an update and I was able to log in. So far, the app is decent. One suggestion would be to set up a notification for when the vehicle sits idle running. When I review, if my crew stops at a gas station and sits for 45 minutes I have no way of knowing as long as they leave the vehicle running.

The app is unresponsive and there is a substantial lag with both the app and device. Device never wants to connect with the app. I don't recommend that you purchase a syncup drive cause the quality of the device and service is poor at best. Go to gpsandtrack for a device that works and does what it is suppose to do and has live tracking with no lag or delays.

After the upgrade, it's all bad. Started trips, but app says it's still parked. Unplugged for oil change, stayed parked at that place for over a week, Finally after multiple tries, it took me through the first time installation process again, twice. Now I keep getting start/end trip alerts even though I turned that off. Wifi works when it wants to. This is horrible. Why should I pay for this? I'm going to look for something better!

I was forced to use this new app when I upgraded 2 of my 3 devices...too bad the app is a DOWNGRADE! So far the only improvement I can see is the seatbelt notification, but I would gladly go without to be able to use the old app! My biggest issue is the inability to personalize the various notifications...a Start-Up is the same as a Low Fuel alert, which is the SAME as EVERY OTHER general notification I get on my phone!! I also feel like transitioning between cars is not as quick as it was. Wh

Simply Awful, I had the SyncUp Drive Legacy and it was awesome, the response time was great, it gave me realtime accurate reading. This new app is telling me that my child's car just started a trip, when my child has been hope for 15mins. It does not give you accurate readings, its telling me that the car has a 1/8 tank of gas when it is 3/4. Horrible lag time, I have muted it, it is useless to me. I wish my previous device did not die on me. I am not sure what I am paying for.

I really wish you would improve this app. So it is more like the sprint drive used to be. It was more real-time where you could see the vehicle moving and not a standalone with a black line that skips to every part of where the vehicle is. I had a conversation with a bunch of people on your end way over a year ago about the concerns of this app, and what you could do to improve it, and you still have yet to improve it.

Terrible app and customer service. Error message stating the device will start when car is running. Car was running! I cannot clear error message. Currently it states the device is unplugged. Customer service is a joke. Have to wait for a new device. Update: 1/18/2023 Received new device that did not work. An additional 4 hours on the phone with the "technical experts" that could not figure it out. Finally, I got it to work. I wish I could get the 10 hours I wasted on the phone back!!!

I had my old sync up drive for years. Had to get new one because old says it was not in car. When it actually was. The new sync up drive does not work in the app. I had to get rid of it. Disappointed in tmobile after 18 years. All they could tell me was take it off. Device is yours since you paid for it. Need something else like sync up? Anybody?

I've had the syncup drive forever; it's on both my cars... It used to work PERFECTLY! I used to be able to follow along with my car, in real time when my child is driving; especially in bad weather. Now I can no longer watch my car move on the map. It used to give a clear& full picture of your cars overall health as soon as you opened the app. Now you have to click each thing individually. How do you RUIN the perfect app with an "upgrade"? I'm confused & want my old Sync-up drive app back!?

I like what it's supposed to be, not what it actually is. It's really stupid how every time I unplug the device or the battery is low (ie winter), the app creates a "new car." It forgets all my settings, including speed alerts (idgaf about MY speed in MY car). It should be 1 device = 1 car. The app also lags a lot and fails to load sometimes. I like the GPS tracking and the disturbance alerts. The error code reading has also been very handy. It's good enough to keep, but it really needs work.

I like the app and service. But it is personally disappointing. App alerts me between 3-5 minutes after an event happens near or to the vehicle. App is very slow(may I remind I'm using an S22 Ultra) vehicle tracking is not only slow. Most of the time it shows my vehicle in one part of a location. But in reality it's not even in the circle it shows of its location. I'd recommend a different device similar to this one. But not this one at all.

Previously had Sprint Drive.. it worked perfectly! I miss it!!! Sync Up, although it works, it definitely is nowhere close to being as good as the Sprint Drive! I really wish T-MOBILE would look at what Sprint had and do the same.. I feel as tho they are trying so hard to get super big in the tech world in a short amount of time, that all they have is a lot of sub par half working apps and technology. They don't even have one perfected! This is how they are going to lose a lot of customers..

The location is not accurate. There is no option to download reports or trips. It has less useful information than the sprint drive that I was used to. 7 months later, the app is still terrible! Do not download! Do not recommend it! So 7 1/2 months later, 8/16/23, and the app is still terrible. A few updates were done to improve accuracy, but now the app locks up when trying to open it. Waste of money. Will shut it off asap.

This was great at first but recently notifications and tracking have been extremely delayed. And if device is unplugged it doesn't recognize it when you plug it back in. And since the last time I've had to plug the device in, after a car repair, it thinks certain notifications are on when it's actually not. I was told I had to go to the TLife app to update the notifications. Why do I have to go to a different app? Even after updating through the TLife app it's still not right.

I don't usually leave reviews but I have to with this, I used to have the Sprint Drive and it was awesome great very accurate, would tell me the second the car started or got to a place. but now it's like 30 minutes later I get a notification that it stopped, started, or anything. Had an engine error come up like 4-5 months ago, which has since been fixed, but the app still tells me it's there and there's no way to clear it. I can't even look at the trip log on it anymore it just sits and load.

I was forced to get this since I had Sprint Drive. The app won't even connect to the device. I've had for a week or more now, I drive for a while every day and the app still hasn't connected to the device. And conveniently my check engine light just turned on so I guess I'll have to go to someone else to see what's going on. Just a useless paper weight.

Since integration to t-life, the app has become quirky. At first, I thought it was better, but NOT. As with another T-Mobile app, you have to authenticate first. What a hassle to get to the app / features. The app has become inaccurate, and the information/travel indications are delayed. The car could be rammed or stolen, and the notification would appear for 15 or 20 minutes. At this point, the app is no longer dependable and becomes useless.

App currently has many issues connecting to new devices. I even had to call customer service, which was pretty helpful. However, this new app is missing some features the old version had, such as being able to share your location with other users. The app is great when it does work. I hope it improves, but until then, I can not give it 5 stars.
