Preferred Sprint's voice-mail app over this one. It's extremely buggy, for example, it may not delete the message on the first few tries. Not only that, but it doesn't transcribe the message in the app like Sprint has, the pictures lie. You can call them and sign up for text message or email transcripts. Even when I have no messages, the message icon won't go away sometimes. Horrible app and not user friendly. Hopefully they'll invest more time and effort in this app.
Reviews for T-Mobile Visual Voicemail
I wish this was better. I've been using this app since it launched (I think 10yrs+ now) it has always been a battle. Back then I thought it was growing pains, now it's just a pain. I don't get notifications. I have to open the app and refresh after I've missed a call. When I do listen/delete in VisualVM, I still get a regular Voice-mail notification (the one you have to dial). These two are out of sync. For something I rely on everyday, this should be near perfectly functional at the very least.
Has really gone down hill. Constantly lagging and freezing, doesn't play in my ear buds as with any other audio, gives me the constant message "failed to sync" or "failed to delete, try again in a couple hours". This is not how the app started off years ago when I had just a basic galaxy. It seems that the developer isn't keeping the app consistent with technology updates. I no longer receive an icon from this app at all, it's been terrible. Hope this update gives new, good results.
Garbage app. Pure garbage. Keep getting the "cannot connect, try again in a few minutes" what a joke!! It hasn't worked for months and I pay for enhanced call data which basically means I'm throwing money away. T-Mobile engineers have their head in the sand (and elsewhere) and haven't made a single effort to fix this problem. Customer service tells me to dial voicemail instead. Thanks genius. If I wanted basic vm, I wouldn't be paying extra. I'm really at my breaking point with TMO.
One of the shittiest apps I've ever seen. The most basic function of a voicemail box - listening to voicemails - is almost always completely unavailable because it says there is an error syncing. There seems to be no alternative app for listening to my voicemails. I guess there is that number you can call to access your mailbox, but I like being able to scroll through the list of voicemails and hit play. And you would think that an app that came preinstalled on my phone would work. Such a shame.
Sprint my whole life and there visual voicemail worked perfectly. New phone is now automatically T-Mobile. I don't have a problem with T-Mobile, but this app is not intuitive at all. You should have an inbox folder, deleted folder, forwarded folder. If I play a message and hit 7 to delete it, it should go away from the list in the visual voicemail. It doesn't. Come on, you guys can do way better. This is a really simple, basic app that just needs a few options to do what it needs to do.
*Update: Using MetroPCS Visual Voicemail instead worked for me. However, it doesn't seem to automatically sync. Even so, it's inexcusable that Metro works and this app does not. "We're sorry, we are having difficulty access the Voicemail server. Please try again in a few minutes." This failed attempt at grammar should let you know how great this app is. Even the error messages don't function correctly..
It stops working way too often! I stop receiving voicemail at all & it doesn't let me know that anything is wrong. Other times it sends me 5 notifications in a row about the same vm, sometimes hours after I received it. I've had to uninstall/reinstall the app several times to get it working again. I can't be the only one it's happening to. One positive is that you can request a text or email of your voicemails. That's been a great workaround for most of the issues I've had with it.
At first it was amazing. Loved the format and the easy access all the way to seeing all the messages you got all at once. However there have been so many updated its complete junk now. When I open it, it freezes. If I click anything, it freezes. It no longer functions and it's a huge bummer as I used to use it all the time. Even if you reinstall it the problem continues. Other times.... I get told via notification that "there's a problem" and there's no fixing that either. Don't waste your time
Terrible app! Will not connect at all, have been spending DAYS, working with tech support ( OMG!) and they can't fix it either. May have no choice but to use someone else's app unless T-Mobile gets this sorted out!! Had it up once, even then didn't work great, ISN'T visual voicemail at all, that's a lie, they need to tell the truth and fix their app, not to mention some tech support training and sufficient help.
