Description
Been messing around with Tagged for about a month now. It’s basically like a mix between a dating app and social network, where you can chat with random people, watch live streams, and play these little games they’ve got built in. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty different from your usual dating apps – more casual and less pressure-y.
So here’s what you can do: browse through profiles and match with folks nearby, jump into live streams (or start your own if you’re feeling brave), and there’s this weird but kinda fun virtual pets game thing. The chat feature’s pretty basic but it works fine. And they’ve also got this matching system that’s supposed to find people similar to you, but honestly it feels pretty hit-or-miss sometimes.
Look, if you’re just looking to kill some time and maybe meet new people without the whole ‘gotta find my soulmate’ vibe, this might be your thing. It’s definitely more laid-back than stuff like Tinder or Bumble. Just keep in mind there’s a lot of people on here just looking to promote their social media or whatever. But if you don’t take it too seriously, it can be pretty fun.
Editor Opinion
Real talk - Tagged is kind of a weird one. I've tested tons of dating and social apps, and this one's like the casual cousin who doesn't quite know what it wants to be. That's not necessarily bad though. I actually kind of dig how it's not trying to be another serious dating app. The games and live streams make it feel more like hanging out than desperate dating.
But here's the thing - the quality of interactions can be pretty random. You'll find some cool people to chat with, but also lots of spam accounts and folks just fishing for followers. The app works fine technically, but the interface feels a bit dated compared to newer social apps. Still, if you're bored and want something different from the usual social media grind, it's worth a shot.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Super casual vibe, no pressure to date or be serious
- Lots of different stuff to do besides just matching and chatting

- Games give you something to do when chat gets boring
Cons
- Tons of fake profiles and people promoting their Instagram
- Interface looks kinda old school and clunky
- Matching algorithm isn't great at finding relevant people
- Can get spammy with notifications if you don't adjust settings

Buying premium is useless as they spam literally hundreds of fake profiles with different pictures, (probably insanely illegal), which makes it nearly impossible to see which accounts are real for...
The app wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so many fake accounts. Honestly I have no problem with the app itself. It's just the user experience after you join....
