Been using Talkatone: Texting & Calling for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you make free calls and send texts over WiFi or data, without using your cell plan minutes. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping in touch with friends and family.
Here’s what you do: you can get a free US/Canada phone number to use with the app, and then you can call and text anyone for free. There’s also an option to make cheap international calls, which is pretty cool. And you can use Talkatone on any device – phone, tablet, whatever.
Look, if you’re always on the go and need to stay connected, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on Talkatone: Texting & Calling. I've tested a bunch of communication apps and this one's pretty solid. The free calling and texting features work well, and I like that you can use it on multiple devices. And the international rates are reasonable too. But the ads can get old after a while, and the user interface is a little dated. Still, if you need a simple, no-frills way to stay in touch, Talkatone is worth a look.
