Been using TalkNum – Text Phone Number for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you a free second phone number you can use for calls and texts. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can get a free phone number, even choose the area code. And there’s free unlimited calling and texting over WiFi – no cell minutes used. It’s got international calling options too, which is pretty cool. Took me a while to figure out how to set everything up, but once I got it working it’s been useful.
Look, if you need a second phone number for whatever reason, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
