Great. Would be awesome if a dark theme is added for the entire app, seeing as the everything in the app is white and not preferable when sitting in the dark. Another issue is the ink price of the premium comics, it's just straight up too much, you would have to pay a lot of money just to unlock an entire series. I get that the ink supports the creators but I feel that if it was cheaper then the creators would get more people following them, which would make up for the price.

Used to enjoy this app, but now it just doesn't function. I'll get a notification of a new comic update, but upon clicking that, I get an error & the comics won't load. Like a timeout error perhaps? The comic will then be removed from "recently updated" so I have to manually navigate to the comic page; but even that returns the error out 75% of the time. I can't follow my comics anymore because of this. Disappointing.

Constantly shoves other comics and offers and deals in your face every time you open the app. It sometimes takes closing two or three popups before you can get to what you actually came there for. There are constantly new "offers" in your inbox which is just whatever comic they want you reading (often not even free!) Or whatever ads they got paid to show you. It's a horrible app, I wish I had a better way to just read the comics without a random unrelated thing getting shoved at me.

Reads, but: No option to jump to a particular chapter (other than last opened) in list of 1000. Can't find button to turn off 1-tap after turning it on. FAQ states bulk purchases are available during sales, but I am still forced to unlock one by one during current sale. It seems to be designed to prevent taking full advantage of sales. A terrible experience, and leads me to believe the company does not have readers' best interests in mind, if not outright misleading and exploitative.

I love the COMICS on this app a considerable amount, but the app itself just keeps going downhill. First they take away the ability to watch ads for ink (which had me watching up to 30 ads a day, a feat which no other app was able to accomplish) and replaced it with an ad unlock that only worked on certain titles. Then they took THAT away, too! Now you can only unlock episodes that you were gonna get for free anyway, defeating the purpose. Not to mention the ads just kept getting buggier...

Edit to add: The ads are so broken now. You can't mute them, you can't close them, and sometimes they won't play so you have to close the app and restart to get back to where you were. Since I had to do an edit on an already poor review, I'm dropping another star. Would be nice if it worked. I've had to uninstall and reinstall more than once and my place in the comics aren't being saved. But most of the time things simply won't load. It used to be a great app.

I've loved using this app for a really long time. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with their new update! Why is their wait-to-read section moving from unlocked forever to only unlocked for 3 days??? That was one of the things that I really enjoyed about this app! I like to binge read my media and now I'm not going to be able to go back and re-read through a comic. That takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it! And I only ever spend ink when I've hit a streak in my reading and I really want to keep going!

I used to regularly buy ink and read almost all of my favorite manhwas through tapas. However, over the past year or so, chapter prices have increased, events have become extremely difficult to accomplish, with minimal rewards, and free chapters have become a rarity. Rather than increasing my spending to try and keep up with this change, I've chosen to step away. I will read the first few free chapters of a new story on tapas, and continue reading elsewhere now. I miss what this app used to be.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on the premium apps. Tons. I love the stories, can get engrossed for 8 hours in all the ones I read. However, I can't even get them to load anymore. It's been a problem for a while now and it's real frustrating. Would love to give tapas 5 stars, but until the loading issue is fixed, I just can't. Five starts for when I can actually read comics again ✌

Great content. Lots to read. Problem is that they keep shorting us pages of comics. A comic that had long pages before are artificialy shortened to milk money. It's super obvious too because the two pages would link to easily with no brake if they were together. Not to mention that a ton of comments keep having likes on them when I've never even been on the page, so lots of fake engagement. This app was worth using even just a year ago, but they keep making it less so. I'll still use it, sadly.
