Reviews for Tappytoon Manhwa & Novels

I would normally rate it 5 stars, but there's a single flaw that really ruins the app. First of all, it has AMAZING stories, easy to read text and the menus are easy to learn. Its practically perfect....except the buying of points to keep reading. I understand that you need to make money. But making you pay for 3 point per episode only shows people that you want to drain their wallets. (50+ episodes, and each costs 3 points.... that adds up eventually btw). WEBTOONS did it better. Just saying.

App has a pretty good selection of comics. My main issue is that there's not a "my purchases" section. If I'm trying to check on series I have been buying chapters for, I have to dig through my history or go deep into menus to see what I spent money on. It'd be nice to have a "purchased series" section with comics that I bought at least one chapter from on the landing page.

Not worth the time to download unless you're willing to spend money. The videos for free points is a joke since each chapter is 300 points and one video gives you 10 points each, up to 30 (300 points total). Takes forever to get through them. Free points per video needs to be increased and other methods of getting free points, other than trying apps, needs to be introduced. Risking my device to download apps I'm not interested in isn't worth it.

I overall loved the app. But there's something thg at happened, I'm not sure if it was a bug or not. An hour after maxing out my ads, they are supposed to give me 30 more. But there are many times when this was not the case. It slowly gave me 30 more ads, and sometimes it wouldn't give me all of them. Again I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a problem with my device.

The stories are good, yeah, but way too expensive. 300 points per chapter, you have to watch 30 ads to make even a single chapter accessible for free, with no other way to earn them or have them refilled. I'd rather pay a subscription to be able to read as much as i want than be constantly buying points. Personally, this keeps me from being truly invested in the app.

The stories are great, the artwork is good and there are plenty of offers for getting free points. However, I've completed several of these offers spending days and sometimes weeks to get to the required level only to not receive my points once back in Tappytoons. Fix this issue with the points and I can see giving more stars. Until then there isn't much point in me having this app.

Good comics, but super expensive to be able to read more than a few chapters at a time. You get points by videos (too much time for too little points) or by downloading other games with a ton of conditions that you have to meet. There are daily free chapters but the series included are limited. Wish the site had a monthly subscription or something that would be more affordable than the current system. I understand supporting the site/ the artists, but there has to be a better solution.

Although I'm glad that we could get points for free offers, you get a small amount of points, compared to the difficulty of the task. I mean, you get like 5,000 points for doing A LOT of lessons for the game "Obey Me!". It's very infuriating, the app Tapas has the same concept, but you get a good amount of rewards. It's very annoying how you need 300 points for a chapter, and 3 tokens for the same one. Not all of us have the money and time to spend on this app.

For the most part this is a good comic app. However, I've had problems with my account where I tried logging back in with the same email and it made me create a new account. So now I have two accounts (on same email), and on one I've purchased a lot of episodes for different comics and the other only a few. Now its annoying having to try and switch between the two to get the one I want and trying to use my points on the right account. In other words, it's just really disappointing.

Not many genres though, all the comics have pretty great art, downside is its more expensive- the subscription could have better benefits. For free, you can read one chapter of your comics every 24hrs. Additionally, there's two options to get coins for free, ads being one of them. One chapter is 30 ads, take that as you will. Edit: on second glance, the selection size is pretty decent.

I got pulled in from an interesting add. Read the trial chapters and enjoyed the setup for the story. Then hit the wall of "pay to read". I wanted to go for the videos since making purchases like that isn't something I can easily do often. But to get so little from watching a video, it would take forever to open up one chapter. I just wanted to enjoy a good story, but that really isn't worth it. It's too bad, but it is what it is. Will be uninstalling.

Graphic Novels! What's not to like? Some fantastic stories with visual aids are, in my opinion, the best form of entertainment. Give one a read and support the artists/authors. I am sure many would love to see some of these become full blown Animated series. That's how good some of these are. Now, if they could fix the orientation so one could use a wide-screen for visuals, I'd rate this 6 stars! As it is it only gets 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

The cost is too high for me to use this app. I understand paying for content but it's hard to know in 3 chapters if it'll be worth paying to finish a story. Most seem like they'd be ~$10 but some are far more expensive. I'd be willing to spend more money if I felt I was getting a better deal. I pay for webtoons because a little goes a long way. The same amount doesn't go very far with tappytoons so I can't justify spending on this app. I hope this is a sign the artists are well compensated.

there are stories missing whole parts leading to the story becoming completely incoherent, and it's almost impossible to get any help with it. Prices going up; promotion, and refills going down. It's getting worse. It does have some of the novel versions, but I'm on the fence on if it's worth the price or not. It's not. Half the stories are terribly translated in the novels, and the comics can be missing whole sections.

It's not the greatest webcomic app, but it's not the worst either. It offers comics I can't find on other apps, but its library could afford to have more obscure titles. I would kill for an app that offered decent translations of underrated comics such as Kalli the Champion. My biggest problem with this app is that it's not picky with the translations it uses. I stop reading some cool comics because I get fed up with trying to translate the translations. Some are good, but not all of them are.

Prices have skyrocketed since I've been on this app. It used to be that you could watch 30 ads and unlock one 300 point episode, with the ability to do so every hour. Now, you don't even get to keep the stuff you pay for with your own cash for more than a year or so. Frequently, the quality of the app has gone down; from refusing to load pages as you scroll to straight up refusing to let you read what you paid for with your money.

I like this app - there are some comics available for free everyday (Solo Leveling! So good!), and others you read with points. Mature (18+) content is only available through the website but once you add it to your library, you can access/read it in the app like anything else. The free points system is great too. Either play games or watch ads. You can get 300 points every hour with ads which is fine by me as that's typically the cost of one chapter. Daily check-ins also give points.

There are good stories, but it is heavily money based. They do allow you to accumulate coins by watching ads, which is nice. HOWEVER, the most recent update of the ads makes the ads longer! Takes me 30 minutes to watch 30 ads!?!? It was 10-15 minutes for 30 ads yesterday! Not only that, when the ads are done, I have a hard time closing them. I also get a 10-15 second "please download" ad (2nd ad popup after initial 30+ second ad). These ads are insanely long. Not worth watching for 10 coins...

Great app with a good collection of comics you can't read on other apps. It has some room for improvement. It needs better point system so the reader feels like they've earned the points. maybe mini games within the app. It also needs a better monthly system for the price. You do not get your value out of the monthly.

You do have to pay, but that should be expected with this type of app. And this app has a wide selection of wait until free series that lets you read nearly the entire comic. Good quality content, pretty large selection, easy to use and find whatever you're looking for. I do wish it had the option to delete purchases, sometimes I'll purchase a couple chapters and then decide it's not for me and its a nuisance having that cluttering my purchased section. Overall a really good reading app!
