Such a versatile software, and fairly easy to learn how to do simple things. Lots of support online. I just got a new OnePlus 6 and was missing features from past ROMs like CM. I did not want to root it yet but with Tasker, I was able to do everything I wanted, and more! Wanted phone to be unlocked at home when connected Wifi, done! Wanted wifi turned on when I get home in case I turned it off, done! Wanted Spotify launched when I plug in my car's AUX cable, done! Wanted screen to be left on while Spotify is running in my car, done! Now I'm just sitting here wondering what else I can do to improve my quality of life with my phone... Thanks, dev!

For years Tasker has been my go-to tool of choice for solving all manner of Android challenges. From fixing annoyances (like forcing my phone to always remain on silent) to mini-apps (like one to track our little one's changing/feeding schedule), Tasker does it all. As a professional programmer, I'm always looking for ways to automate and streamline things. Tasker let's me do this with ease on my device. This is the app to master to get the most out of your phone.

As a developer, Tasker gives me the kind of power over my device that I could only dream of with my iPhone. It requires you be the type of person who doesn't mind trying things and working to perfect your rules, but if you are that type of person you can do some amazing things. The plugin architecture makes it even more powerful once you grab a few. Be sure to look at the work of 'joaomgcd' in particular.

Tasker is a fantastic app that I've used for many years. Unfortunately, every day, multiple times a day, I'm told that my "trial" is over, even though I paid for the app. I am the required to enable data at that exact moment so it can reauthenticate my license just so I can keep using the app. I wouldn't mind if it were once a year, but every day is unacceptable. It's gross that fighting piracy means screwing over the people that did the right thing.

I'm new to Tasker but I can tell you this much... it's possibilities are infinitely limitless. Even gives you a database of pre-made tasks and profiles that will blow your mind just sorting through. It basically takes all your individual apps and turns them into an interconnected web of utilities that will serve you in any way you need it to. Sky isnt even the limit.

I paid for this app to control Bluetooth data to play a sound when certain conditions are met. Now I have to pay nearly as much for a plugin from the same developer. having received a reply which makes sense I have decided to add a star. It would be beneficial for the plugins to have a trial period to make sure it is the one we need. 3 days trial would be great

Excellent and very useful app! Has a bit of a learning curve, but definitely worth the small time investment and modest price. Root access opens up more options (e.g. controlling hidden LED on recent Moto phones to take place of missing notification light), but isn't necessary for most functions. I use it also to auto-enable do-not-disturb when plugged in overnight, change input method when Bluetooth keyboard connects, turn off flashlight when placed on magnetic holder in the dark, lots more...

Tasker is one of the most useful apps I use. I work in the field of Assistive Technology. A lot of my job is making devices (tablets/phones) more accessible for people through using macros and custom, simplified, interfaces. Tasker enables me to do all this and more. It does have a learning curve as does any app with such a broad scope. But, there are lots of resources out there and the developer is extremely quick and responsive if there's ever the need to contact them.

Amazing product. You can make your phone do ANYTHING. I initially installed it on my old Samsung phone, which had absolutely miserable battery life, because I wanted to keep the WiFi turned off when my car Bluetooth was connected. That was a piece of cake, and then I figured out about a million other things to do with it: read text messages out loud when the headset I wear when I'm running is connected, switch to vibrate mode when I'm at work, remember the location where I park my car so I can navigate back to it if I forget, and that's just the Bluetooth/WiFi-related ones. There's a learning curve, for sure, but it's a wildly powerful app.

I've always been "scared" of how much tasker offers, and that I would never find or get a use out of it. I took the plunge, and let it sit on my phone for months. Once I finally sat down, and looked even surface level, I figured out several new scenarios that it can control, and has been an absolute pleasure learning how to configure and use tasker. Wifi now is auto-toggled (no more draining battery!) and bluetooth as well. Several others like volume by time of day have made work easier!
