I’ve been using Taximeter for a couple months now. It’s basically a digital taximeter app designed for professional drivers. Pretty solid if you’re a cab or rideshare driver who needs to keep track of fares and mileage.

Here’s what you do: you can set up custom rate presets for different regions and zones. And there’s also a bunch of pre-loaded presets for over 40 countries, which is super convenient. And you can even download the latest presets straight from the internet – the developers will add your local rates for free.

Look, if you’re a driver who needs a reliable digital meter, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re tired of using that old physical meter in your car.

So here's my honest take on Taximeter. I've tested a bunch of different taxi/rideshare apps and this one's pretty solid. The realistic LED-style meter display is a nice touch, and I like how you can customize the rates. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other apps, but it's reliable and gets the core functionality right. Not gonna lie, the setup process was a bit confusing at first, but once I had it dialed in it's been working great. If you need a no-frills digital taximeter, this is worth a look.

This app has turned in to ransom ware demanding you to repurchase a new license first in 2017 and now in 2024 fix your app Very unhappy after 10 years

Won't change from meter to miles. I need a meter that goes by miles. I don't find this app very easy to use.
