Excellent tool, but horrid unfair policies. Cannot remote connect to a down level PC, even if just one major release down. If there is nobody physically at the remote PC to update it, then your only option is to get a paid license which requires a one year commitment of over $500!! And the cancellation terms are draconian. Paid licenses can connect to down level PCs. Yes, auto update can be configured, but what if you forget and are 1000 miles away?

The remote tech support tool I used to rely on has become unusable. They now force you to create an account and the user experience is awful. My mom and I wasted half an hour trying to connect, the WiFi connection kept dropping, and she was bombarded with prompts to install unnecessary add-ons. In the end, it stopped working entirely, displaying a barrage of confusing error messages. Incredibly frustrating!

works great, but if you use it a couple of times from mobile, they close your connections as "commercial use detected." They will deny any requests to unlock, as it isn't for commercial use. It shows when you can reuse it for another 2 minutes (really more like 45 seconds), but even that timer just keeps going up. So I'm just using until I can find something better. Sadly, I used to use this many years ago when the free option was viable.

Generally speaking, I love using this app. I've been a very happy user for a little over a decade now, and the phone app for a couple of years. The one major issue that I have is that when using the mobile app, the mouse click options are just super unreliable, and the fact that you can't click and hold is unfortunate. Could be vastly improved with a separate tab for mouse control with a button to right/left click much like the secondary keyboard tab

"Commercial use" auto-kicking resolved - thank you TeamViewer support team! This software is absolutely essential whenever my Mom needs computer assistance. Once configured, I just click on her computer ID on my TeamViewer list, and I'm in to help with whatever she needs, no hassle from her end, quick and easy for both of us. With other software, I have to instruct her over the phone how to launch the app, how to navigate the menu, where to find her ID and the passkey - a pain every time.

It only lets you use it for 1 minute at a time every 5 minutes. The 5 minute timer is also more like 7 or 8 and if you try too early it adds another 5 minutes. Also applies to file sharing, so only a few kb will be possible to transfer. This software is only useful for starting up Rustdesk if your computer JUST restarted and didn't have it running yet.

absolutely horrible app. there is zero support at all. it is iffy at best The connection is spotty. it blocks you from connecting after 5 or so attempts. even if you succeeded each time. which you will have to do it more than five times because it's so terrible and does not load the entire screen. it will allow you to see part of your screen but it will not allow to you to see things happening occasionally. just get any desk

Very disappointed. Been using Team Viewer for more than a decade solely to control my own computer from the phone to turn it off or share some files across devices and never had a single issue. Lately I keep getting a message that commercial use has been detected and that I will be limited to 5 minutes. Obviously this is false so I bet the company is trying to force free users into paying premium. Beyond that, you can't even contact support without being premium first. And it keeps getting worse

This app has gotten significantly more buggy and less reliable since I started using it a few months ago. I have to log in again every single time I open it, my managed devices disappear from my list seemingly randomly. Some days it's there, other days it's gone, which is most of the time. Everytime I finally have access to my server again, it's reappeared on the list, so there isn't anything I can do to fix it except cross my fingers. They need to fix this app and make it just work again.

you offer a free tier for personal use. I've been using it for years and you keep begging me to buy a business model. ON TOP OF THAT, you then consistently restrict my account saying that it's under suspicion of being used for a business. it isn't and I have to repeatedly get my account unblocked. this shouldn't be happening. I'm thinking of moving to another service because while it works well, the service isn't really exceptional and there are many annoyances I'd rather no longer deal with.

The app used to work great to access my PC from the app. Now, it just launches a browser and all I can do is use the phone browser to access my remote PC. The phone browser provides a very poor experience that makes the whole thing unusable, no option for a mouse, no way to switch between apps on the remote PC. What is the purpose of the app, if it doesn't actually allow you to control your remote PC through the app?

Editing my review after 3 months and actually 8 years of usage. This app is nothing but a link to a website now. From there it becomes totally mobile user unfriendly. Mobile touchscreen has finally been included. Still no cursor switch option. Anything about your systems being remotely available is a joke. Don't bother with TeamViewer unless you can handle migraines well! In this digital age, TV is actually in the stone ages as a comparison. There are far better options out there.

I'm not going to lie, I was just about pulling my hair out setting up easy access on my pc today, and I already shave my head, so that's no easy feat: migrating devices I had literally just set up (whatever that means; why not just have it set them up where it goes?) "new TeamViewer" prompts (for an app I literally just installed...just install the most current version to begin with??) and incessant pop-ups it took me almost an hour just to load. Works well for managing Plex account from afar.

I've been using TeamViewer for years and absolutely love it, but on my new Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, the File Transfer mode isn't entirely functional. I can't go to 'My Files', or even tap the X on the upper right corner to end the session, since they're hidden behind the OS's UI elements. This is one of the main methods I use to move small batches of files to and from my phone, so it's pretty frustrating to deal with.

It worked on android mobile for a bit but now gets stuck on "Launching TeamViewer. Allow your browser to open the app" Tried several different browsers, deleted cache, allowed all cookies, reinstall, restarted phone. Nothing is fixing it and many similar complaints online with no solution. Web Teamviewer works but is ungodly laggy, basically unusable.

I used to swear by teamviewer, now I swear at it. This used to be a good program, 12 years ago. These days it's absolutely useless as it does not actually function as advertised. I must be at my computer in order to connect to my computer from my phone, but the whole point is that I'm nowhere near my computer when I'm trying to connect to it through my phone. no amount of settings changes seems to actually correct this issue. Steam Link does a better job as a remote desktop than this

Terrible in every regard. STAY AWAY. edit since Teamviewer replied. Let's start with the broken login on both android and PC. Mobile app login will open in the in-app browser, and after login, will not return to the app either automatically or manually. (Trying to go back undoes the login entirely.) On PC, if you use a connected account, through google, for example, and you try and sign in- it will fail and tell you to use the "New Interface", despite already using the New Interface.

10 years ago I could easily remote control all my devices at home while out for the day. Never had to bring them with me. Now every option including this one, either doesn't work when needed, or wants someone sitting at the home device to accept a request or provide a code. It's been a real regression for personal use and all centered around business use.

Newest version is very annoying unreliable. even though I have "remember me" checked during login, I have to log in just about every other time I try to use it. Often, when I try to connect to my PC, it will say login canceled, and will keep doing so until I do a "force stop" on the app. This version is not at all as reliable as the previous...I hate using it now. Hoping to find a replacement. Now it is also suspecting that I am using it as commercial, which is not the case.

Teamviewer used to be great but not any more. I've used for over 10 years. They have made is so difficult for personal free use. Over the last several years my account keeps getting flagged for commercial use. I've only used this for personal use and never commercial use. If you look online you will see several other users have this same issue. It's annoying to keep having to request my account be unflagges for commercial use. I have now moved on to use RustDesk which doesn't have this issue.
