Been using Tempest Weather for a couple months now. It’s basically a weather app that connects to this Tempest sensor device you can buy. Pretty solid app if you’re into tracking super detailed local weather data.
Here’s what you do: You set up the Tempest device and connect it to your home WiFi. And then the app pulls in all sorts of real-time weather info – temperature, humidity, wind, rain, lightning alerts, and even a 10-day forecast. There’s also historical graphs that show trends over time, which is pretty cool. And the lightning detection is actually really impressive, it can spot strikes up to 25 miles away.
Look, if you’re a weather nerd or you just like having super accurate hyperlocal forecasts, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup process can be a little finicky at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want more than just the basic weather app.
