Reviews for Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire

John Smallman

The items are almost always as described, but the "discounts", "deals", ""free gifts" and "coupons" are a scam intended to get you to spend way more than you intend to. There are ALWAYS minimum purchase conditions attached. The phrase "Nothing is ever free" could have been coined for Temu. Please, Temple, stop making false offers. It just frustrates your customers and makes us want to avoid buying from you.

app convenience and all the cool options, great. I dislike when a link pops up, I go to look at something, and it takes me on an unsolicited journey to the flashing items, prizes, and free stuff. All of the things I know are more marketing bs. Wasted my time enough there. It's extremely frustrating trying to just look at an item, dealing with bombardment of more advertising. I want to navigate my own shopping experience. I want to search for Temu products only when I need them 4 checkout.

If you are given the option to "withdraw" money, DONT take it. it's a scam. it's definitely something worth reporting. the first time it just says "one more order," which is convenient if youre looking to order something else, but if youre not? No. They require you to order x amount more, and more, and more. conveniently, I needed everything i bought UNTIL the last transaction. Crazy scam of an app.

Store-wise, not bad...HOWEVER, too many games and popup distractions, too many "freebies" and "offers" that are come-ons that force you to spend more and more just to get them. Also far too many notifications and emails. Facebook ads are bait and switch. All I wanted was to see a price on a guitar, was forced to get the app, then one came up in the stupid "1 cent offer", but it put it at the end, forced me to keep buying, and despite "unlocking" the first two "gifts", I ended up with NOTHING!

Majority of my purchases have been spot-on great, with no disappointments. That said, I have a few complaints. Some sellers show their highest-cost item as their thumbnail picture, yet list the price of their lowest-cost item. They are misleading the public! (In America, it's referred to as "bait and switch".) Your sellers should be required to post the price of the item shown. Also, lower-quality items are being sent that do not match the listing. It's a major headache to get refunds!

Good luck to you if you ever need to contact support as they are less than helpful if the automated bots are unable to resolve. Upper supports results in copy/paste responses. You're able to find cheap items, and shipping speeds are reasonable. The gotcha games/messages that are constantly being thrown in your face are a bit annoying and misleading.

App and pricing on things are good. However, I really get annoyed at all the prizes and coupons/rebates they try to trick you into, which doesn't really pan out. It's just a way to get you to spend more money on the app. They also raise some of those prices on items for the supposed free things and coupon/rebates.

it's a hit or miss online store, but I've had more hits than misses. just be cautious as every time you open the app they try to get you to buy stuff with "promotions" and "winning coupons" anything that says free you have to spend money first. but I've only gotten one item out of several so far that was a bust. they also have local warehouses for those who prefer to order in the US

Good prices, highly inconvenient to use. Example: you see an item in a Temu ad that you are like, so you click on it. Your page is immediately hijacked by a fake game that always gives you the max prize. You click through that. Now to see the item...wait, now there's a special offer for cash back! Click past that. 3RD interruption: limited time only! 29:59 to shop THIS PAGE ONLY that doesn't have the item you came to see! Tip: 30 min means nothing, they extend it at the end. Never found my item.

The app itself is totally scammed. I spin the wheel I pick the items and when it tells you "getting those items for free with discount or coupons." You actually have to pay a shipping fee and a tax fee which makes some items that are 4 dollar go up to 10 dollars. I personally I had to get refunded some money because recently one of my items did not show up and the customer service is terrible, and the stuff you buy isn't actually good quality.I don't recommend this app. I don't trust it anymore.
