I’ve tried many other SSH and SFTP solutions, but most were clunky, unreliable, or just plain frustrating. This application has been an absolute game-changer—it makes managing my servers effortless, even from my phone, without any compromises. Truly outstanding—I can’t recommend it enough!
I have a debian 12 home server. Love control of my data, love being in control of my own little ecosystem. This app has made my life so much easier using SSH, if I need to restart my server or update packages, it's so easy to open, click, logged in. Brilliant. 10/10. Cheers for making an actually good app! :)
The SSH functionality is great, but the FTP feature feels halfway done at best. There is no mechanism by which to upload files to the server, you can only download them locally. This feels like a significant oversight.
Best SSH app, period. The only hiccup is paying for advanced features. I wish the free plan allowed you to enable all features (like snippets) on two selected hosts. Premium could then offer unlimited premium hosts. That change alone would bump this to a solid 5/5.
Once I know the quick access, it works a lot better! I think it makes sense to show us some tips upon launching the app for the first time. For example I just discovered there is arrow swipe on the terminal page. I am sure it gets better overtime.
This app has every configuration option you could ever imagine, was simple to set up, and I didn't have to pay. The only thing you have to pay for is cloud syncing of your credentials and some other things, but not anything actually vital to the features of SSH. That's great.
Great mobile terminal experience but has the extremely scary precedent of auto subscribing you to the trial Pro version, which uploads your authentication keys and related details. Very very unsafe and NEVER something I would have agreed to had the app given me a clear option. Additionally, there is 0 information about who runs this app. I guarantee they have the ability to track servers and logins. I contacted their support and they would NOT delete the account. The reply is lying. Disgusting.
Great terminal app, unfortunately the price is way to high for private use. I use it to manage maybe 10 private servers and devices. A 100€ per/jaar is a bit much for that. Also I despise subscriptions. what happened to buying and owning a product. I know everybody needs to earn an income, but if u use this (and other products) for 2 - 3 years you've paid 300€! for an app! Still 4 stars for the quality off the app. 1 star for the price if you would to use it in a non business setting
The SSH part of this app works as expected. But when I tried to copy about a hundred of DNG files to my workstation, to my surprise I could not find a way to select ALL files for transfer. It is either impossible or the option to select all files is well hidden. Also, I could not find FAQ or manual for the app on Terminus site, only marketing pitches. Also, it would be nice to be able to provide a full SSH or SFTP command as if you are typing it in a shell. And the same for working within SFTP.
Easy to use with several customizations to make it more useful in smartphones and tablets. It should have more ways to customize the easy access keyboard function keys instead of keeping this standard ones only which may not be the one I use the most in a small device. also the default view from previous sessions should be kept. but in general as a terminal application it is working well and even the free version does not have annoying adds and does what it is important.
