Reviews for TeslaMirror

← Back to TeslaMirror

It connects and plays for a few then it freezes on the Tesla browser screen. Have to stop and restart the browser for it to show again. But freezes shortly there after. It usually goes down several times during a 30 minute drive, making it useless.

TeslaMirror is working great for me so far. I have a Samsung S20, the browser window picked up my broadcasted address and mirrors the phone screen. There is a delay of a fraction of a second but that is to be expected and not a problem at all. I've just enjoyed a drive home, being able to view my home cameras on the tesla screen as I await a delivery. Now I just wish Tesla would let us move the browser app over the car visualisation, so we can have navigation and browser at the same time.

I also had the issue where the browser closes after some time. My Tesla has the atom processor. Once I changed the casting resolution to max 25 fps, 360p, and 45 quality, the browser doesn't close anymore. My hypothesis is that it is Tesla MCU related and not because an inherent issue with the program. Just know if you have an Intel Atom MCU, you should change your MJPEG settings.

I tried it on my Pixel 5. It seems to work well with Youtube, Waze, and Google Map. Like other have said, it won't work with Netflix. I tried with Amazon Video. It didn't work neither. For $6, I'm happy to have a way to use Waze in my Tesla. UPDATE It freezes quite often. UPDATE2: it's been a while, and the app has no update for like 6 months.

My phone will not longer connect to tesla for any controls other than door unlock and drive. The actual blue tooth to car function does not connect . I've done every troubleshooting there is. Nothing. Happened immediately after installing and using this app. When I shut it down since it wouldn't do what I wanted and un installed it stopped blue tooth right then. I've shut car off. Forgot phone and connect on car, rest phone, Uninstalled apps. Still not connecting

It's great it works. I do have to bring the browser up & put in the link again after reversing but for the most part the app does what it says it should. The only cons for me are I wish it showed up bigger on Tesla dashboard & having to use my hotspot data is very draining on my battery. Although I leave it on the wireless charger, it still loses power very slowly because of the TeslaMirror app running. Oh yeah i noticed it lag once. I'm using it for the Lyft driver app. Good luck & thanks TM

First app I've ever spent money on. As some users have stated before I am unsure of why the app has low ratings? App works very well on a 2023 model 3 Standard Range. Tesla, itself, seems to limit some functionality like full screen while in drive mode but videos still work in the browser window while driving. Video quality is good and audio syncs well with the videos. Pleasantly surprised by the app. I only wish the "Tesla Proxy" switch would automatically turn off after mirroring has stopped.

terribly slow, doesn't show the videos I'm playing but shows my phone screen edge. PLEASE REFUND ME!!!

Lagged a lot and not usable at all. I bought it just to give it a try as I read it had 96 hour refund period. Its seems the software has lots of potential but not feasible for all types of phone (Mine was OnePlus 10 Pro) I immediately requested refund after 2 hours of use and Google said it can't issue refund so I had to escalate the case involving paypal, hope they will stand by me to obtain the refund I deserved.

The latest version is nice. With the support of browser audio it works great;

was working great but now it's saying port 9999 already in use? (update just restart phone)

this is not working for me at all I can get the audio but no video

Works with my setup, an S25 Ultra using YouTube. However once activated notifications no longer show full previews and even after deactivating the app they still don't. Need to restart my phone to get notification previews to show again after starting the app, which is a big pain. This is a recent bug.

Works well on M3P 2022 Ryzen chip and my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Issues are.. video has tiny pauses in it for a micro second (but are noticable) and audio is quite a bit behind, but I think thats the case for most mirroring. I have the recommended app settings (H.264, 30fps etc...). To keep sound in order then just use mobile sound instead of browser. Anyway to improve video to make it smooth and audio in sync?

This app used to work for Hulu, YouTube TV, and Netflix while you are driving as long as you were in desktop mode. This is no longer the case. The screen is blacked out as soon as you start driving now. I bought this app for that very reason. If you are buying this app to watch your favorite shows while driving for you passenger, of course. Do NOT buy this app.

Fantastic :D I use it mainly for wireless lossless audio as I prefer to control that from my phone and find the default tesla apps to be predictably boring and uninspired, visually. This saved the day.

I'm not sure what happened but I finally got it working and this app is awesome! there's virtually no lag. I even watched the YouTube video on the lips were synced up with the sound coming out of my phone. Five stars!

This works on my Model X Raven (2020). Is it perfect, no. Is it a hell of a lot better than nothing at all, yes. I am using FSD beta, and a lot of the issues that people are having stem from the fact that the CPU in the MCU is underpowered. Try to show a little patience and give it a roll. I also use TesAA because I think that the feature that it automatically starts the hotspot it's pretty convenient and you can actually run both of these side-by-side.

Seems to have limited usefulness. Can't get it to play videos from streaming sources such as HBO Max, Bally Sports, or Hulu. Does not work with Spectrum app. They play on my phone but not the screen. Works with YouTube. Disconnects audio from car in fullscreen mode. Concept was interesting enough to get me to take a chance at $6, but not sure I can recommend. Perhaps it will work better in the future but maybe the video sources are partly to blame. Should identify which streaming services work.

Cannot function long term. Especially when driving. Browser force closes after a short term. Forced to constantly reopen and reconnect. Not worth it. Useless without the function to drive and use it. Was denied a refund even though this app is market as able to do what it says while in drive. False advertising. Buyer beware. Thus may have worked but it seems tesla has patched the ability to do this.
