To login or to sign up the app asks for your mobile phone number but then after I tried different formats it yields “Unsupported Phone Number”. I uninstalled the app immediately.
The app is good but the gas station itself is always the most expensive gas in town so the discounts dont even bring it down to the price of other places.
I was finally able to pump gas (and cash in my $1 initial reward!). Overall is ok, but it needs some work. It has trouble communicating with gas stations, even when I'm right there at the pump.
That was honestly the most easiest app transaction I ever had. I just downloaded the app, put in my card info, drove up to the pump I wanted, and paid through the app. So simple.
Love this app and I definitely love the $1.00 off first 3 fill ups. I recommend that you give it a try one of my favorite gas apps. I have 3 total! But you can't never ever beat a dollar off a gallon! Thanks Texaco app!
I was lured by the $1 gallon off (for 1st app use). 20 minutes later after setting up app, wallet & following ALL steps... I go to Texaco, use the app, use Paypal w/in the app & buy 25gal. (max) of gas. App says "I'll be getting $1 off on this purchase." I pump 25gal & NO discount. Called Texaco. CS rep said, "Sorry, but you already paid. We won't give you the $25 we owe you." Rep was nice, but wasn't very helpful. TO TEXACO: I DID MY PART. DO THE RIGHT THING & PROVIDE ME WHAT WAS PROMISED!
The Texaco Rewards App is extremely convenient and easy to use. My "sign up" bonus made me think I was in the late 70s with a super low price per gallon.
It won't allow me to actually USE $30 gift card that I already loaded to my account. So I feel like you've stolen from me! Because I can't use it at the register. It has to be used at the pump and it will not allow me to use it at any pump I tried six stores!
I've never used the app. App says an account already exists for my phone number. I assume this is a previous holder of my phone number. App gives no way of fixing this issue. I called tech support and they were clueless.
I love this app. It saves me at least 10 cents per gallon on each fill-up usually making the cost the lowest in town. The only issues I have had is a pump that would not communicate with the sky so I moved to the next pump. And one station where the app does not work with my phone due to poor cell reception.
