Reviews for TextMe Up Calling & Texts
← Back to TextMe Up Calling & TextsHave used the app for less than a month, but my review so far... I like that a local area code was available 👍 More than one number can be setup on an account. Can record a personal voice mail greeting. Calls are clear. Downside: Ad's are WAY too intrusive! I understand its a free app, but having 3 ad's in a a single text message conversation is a bit much 💁♀️, and the Pro membership to keep phone number and remove ad's is costly at $7.99(CAD)/month 😶 Not great, but good so far 😏
just now I have renewed my account and it got unauthorised without any notice they blocked my account it is the worst experience I got
Useless app. Lots of Ads inside app and No free phone number. And advertising as a get your free phone number. Such a Liar.... Update:- Idiot, ready my review first then tell me to send an email for help. I am not asking for help. I am telling, what are you not doing properly and lie to everyone. Readmy comment TWICE.
UPDATE: The developer responded to my message quickly and I was able to cancel. The only reason. I was canceling is because I lost the ability to make or receive calls and messages and I purchased the monthly plan. The app won't let me cancel my subscription! I don't know what to do and can't get hold of any service reps. I'm going to try Google to see what they tell me. So frustrating!
Pretty cool app with no glitches, no loss of number without notice and no attempt to disable without looking at legal rights per user, per state! THAT. is essential. After using Textnow for a very long time, it seemed to get faulty Disabling lines for incriminatiolng reason yet pursuing to say that I was doing so, yet what I was using the number for was f****** LEGAL. THATNK YOU, text me up for being grown. ~madam Minx
I paid for the premium plan, but the app doesn’t work reliably. Sometimes I can’t make calls at all, even though I’ve followed all steps. I contacted support (Request #1365692), but haven’t received any real help yet—just automated replies. This is frustrating, especially after paying. I’d appreciate faster support or a fix. Please look into this.
cannot log into app says that I have another account associated with this app and I don't. Frustrated I can't call a customer service number.
i have been using this app for yrs but I'm about to make a switch it has gotten ridiculous the ads after every lil thing u do , just reading a message ,I back out of it n ads pop up, it's starting to be more of a headache n a hassle to use this app anymore! please fix this cuz an app I once loved, recommended, n used daily for yrs is about to b uninstalled
Garbage app. Can't sign up with Facebook or Google account and can't make a new account either. Every email I type "already exists" even though I've never signed up for this before. Dumbest app ever.
Money grab app. I'm unable to make calls to any US & Canada number after subscribing to a premium plan. I also tried buying credits for an additional price but it still doesn't work. When I dial a number nothing happens, the dialpad just disappears and returns to the home screen. Please provide a refund.
Worst app ever. This developer displays falsely advertising. Even after paying for subscription I'm unable to make calls. Whenever I try dialing it automatically kicks out stating error or retry. Even after paying for subscription this app doesn't allow you to make calls to 1800numbers. Pathetic. No customer service available. Don't waste your money. Your request (#1382186) they closed without resolving within a minute. Worst service. Scam company alert. Please don't waste your hard earn money.
The app claimed a free trail. But to get a test text with a verification code I had to pay for the service. How can you test if you want an app without testing the features? While the install was easy and the selection of a permanent number great. It still is a bit confusing on how to use all the features. I did not want to give it access to my phone book contacts so it would not send an outbound test text to my own cell phone number.
Been using this app for probably a year now and I have no real complaints at all. The only thing that I would change is it won't send a message that's lengthy. I don't even know how many characters is too long to send. Be nice to know that because at least then you could stop, and and start again. Lol. Once I have typed out a message I want to send it, not break it up, copy, paste, delete, etc... The app is great though. My messages can get too long anyway. 🤦♀️😊😂😉😋
Great app. Works well for me on mobile device free but works even better for insurance and unwanted users on my device. I love getting a text that makes me feel like I should keep up the good fight just to realize later on a through a screen shot of the window overlay or the window underneath in which the heartfelt message was for. Who's the biggest clown of the last half decade. Me.
This app is what I depend on, but it honestly garbage. I can't begin to describe how many glitches and bugs have got me in a fight because someone thought it was me doing it. The audio stops working on my end, the calls constantly quit on their own free will and don't work again for god knows how long, Calls make just the most off noises, that sound like creepy laughing dudes to heavy breathing, both terrifying, the messages AND calls don't reach then on their end almost at a l l. Fix it please.
I like the fact that you can have multiple numbers from the same account with different area codes and also maintain conversation history and call log essentially for each number in the same space but still as separate numbers. I hate having to switch between this app and that app to use multiple numbers for individual purposes, it gets messy, confusing, frustrating and eventually mistakes are made. But not here. The ads at the bottom even after going premium are annoying but manageable.
The ads just kill everything. The subscription is a bit weird. I paid 20 to reserve the number for the year. But it costs an additional 9 bucks to get rid of ads monthly. A bit too pricey. And there's periods where the app just doesn't send texts to the other person. You can't predict when it happens either. All of a sudden in the middle of a conversation it just decides not to send a text to the other person. Constant bugs randomly.
It really depends on what you want. If you want a FREE (not tied up with your credit card ect) burner, this is what you can expect: you must use it once a week, it will NOT allow you to recieve verification messages from sites (like eBay) without you paying, it will NOT always save a number (sometimes it disables it even when you're active), it is absolutely packed with ads. So, if you're trying to head off spam callers & protect privacy? It doesnt work.
Satisfied I was reluctant at first to pay for the monthly subscription but now that I have, it is well worth it. A lot of these apps don't allow messages from websites to verify you on a two factor authentication form and they do, only in the paid version. Why? I have no clue. But for that low of a price it's great. The format of the app isn't necessarily totally user friendly, you have to know a bit about websites and apps to navigate through a few bugs.
