Love the layout of the app but I'm not able to leave personal notes or highlight anything. Like I can normally in the book of Mormon and bible. The Bible app I'm able to do all of this and love to see the difference meanings it has to me in different years. (I'll date my 1st read and my thoughts then. And when I encounter the scripture again later on in a few years I like to do it again and see how much I've grown since the last time I read that scripture and left a personal note)
Reviews for The Book of Mormon
← Back to The Book of MormonI try to read a verse every time I open up my phone, and this app was a lot better than the Gospel Library app for this because it loads faster. However, the latest update made it so that when I come back, it's at the top of the chapter, and not where I was before. PLEASE fix this, it'll help a lot, and I don't think I'm the only one who dislikes the change. Thank you!
A beautiful way to keep the Word of Wisdom with you regardless of where you are. Doesn't drain the battery. Easy to navigate and read. A great alternative to the physical copy of Book of Mormon if you arent able to access one at the time. Would really love and annotation feature for personal studying.
I feel like there should be a higher and mark your spot like the Gospel Library App. There should be an offline version without voice to text. It's better to have it with more functional base like adding a higher, and also something like a hoovering over the words as it plays the chapters or sections.
Amazing. Has blessed my life in so many ways, meaning the book. But, the app has a couple bugs. A lot of my notes and tags were deleted when I switched devices. I did a sinc before I switched so that isn't the problem. I've heard this has happened to others as well. If fixed this app would be just about perfect.
The layout is beautiful, and I love how well this app works. It's almost perfect for my needs. ❤ The only thing I'm curious about is whether or not there is a way to highlight and take note, and sync those to my LDS account so I can see the annotations between devices. The whole library is too big to fit on my phone (due to lack of available space on my device), so I love the idea of having just this single book. I just really wish I could take notes and sync everything like we can with the Gospel Library app. Is there any way we can make that happen? :D
thankyou so much Also The translation of language here i love these so much app I hope The d&c Also Have like these.
The English version works great, and this is a life changing book. However it refuses to open Japanese or Korean even though they are downloaded. Crashes immediately when selecting a language. I hope it gets fixed soon. Would be perfect if split screen was enabled, allowing two languages side by side.
This is a wonderful app where you can read The Book of Mormon anywhere! The Book of Mormon has changed my life immensely. I know that The Book of Mormon is true. It truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that as you read it daily you will grow closer to Him and become more like Him. I know that as you read it you will be filled with more joy and comfort. I know that as you read it you will find more confidence in yourself too. You will feel Their love for you. ❤️ You are loved!
Makes it very easy to access the marvelous works and wonders Jesus Christ performed to His "other sheep!"
I just started this one but so far it's amazing there's things in there that you may not even know you got nothing to lose try it out
It's Greek to me! Why? In another app, I am learning the Greek alphabet. Now, all the headings in this app are in Greek. In the settings, I have selected only English.
everything keeps switching to Spanish. I love this app for the great narration, but I can't get it to stay in English! I've never switched it to Spanish, but it's in Spanish anyway. when I go to settings, it has English selected for both, but is still in Spanish. I deleted and reinstalled, and it's still in Spanish.
I love listening to different voices. I dislike opening the app and seeing a foreign language (Spanish). I cleared cache and data, and that worked for the next time I opened it. The second time, however, I'm back to translating *some* headings.
Sometimes it's nice to clear the clutter and start from the beginning. 'Come, Follow Me' can be a bit overwhelming. I like having this app to study the Book of Mormon with separately every morning. I can go completely at my own pace and don't have to worry about keeping up with lesson plans. Win-win.
I liked another BOM app much better, but unfortunately, it disappeared from my phone. What I liked about the other was that the font size was larger than this and the audio controls didn't cover up part of the screen. I also liked the voices better. They seemed to be engaged in what the text was talking about. This one is more like somebody reading text, without feeling.
Truly a testament of Christ, a companion and completion to the Bible and the doctrine thereof. The app itself is very easy to use, the audiobook part of it is nicely done, the features are nice, and yeah altogether the app is pretty great. The Book itself is quite literally beyond description. I highly recommend reading it, pondering it, and praying about it. Feast on the wonderful words of Christ. Pray, with faith in Christ and real intent, and all things'll be made know to you.
If you take the Book of Mormon from Gospel Library app, you get thus one. I like that I can open straight to what I'm reading. While someone else may like all the extras the last update added (videos and such), I preferred the old way. I do wish I could download the audio so that I could listen offline. Both Gospel Library and this app will default to text & speech when offline, which I find annoying.
Has reading and/or listening options. A feature I REALLY like is when I reopen it, it takes me to the exact chapter where I stopped. Audio activation used to be more convenient but no biggie once I figured out the extra steps now required (wonder why that). Former narrators (Bruce Lindsay etc) were MUCH better. Also it has started cutting off narration at the end of the chapters. Used to be better, especially narrators, but still a great app that I'm grateful to have. No ads, easy on battery.
This app is meant to be less overwhelming and just be a helpful resource to those who are just learning about what the Church of Jesus Christ. It has the text translated into English at first, but you can change it to your preferred language. Also, if you press the top right, vertical "..." icon, and press "Related Content" then you'll get helpful visual aids like pictures and videos of what is going on in the scriptures you're reading. (This is a simplified version of the Gospel Library app.)
