Been using The Detroit News: Local News for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that covers everything going on in Detroit and across Michigan. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping up with what’s happening in the city and the state.
Here’s what you can do: you can read the latest breaking news stories, watch videos, and check out some great photography. And there’s also a section for Detroit Pistons coverage – if you’re a big basketball fan, you’ll probably dig that. Took me a while to figure out some of the features but overall it’s a pretty user-friendly app.
Look, if you live in Detroit or Michigan and want a reliable source for local news, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – there’s some ads that can get annoying – but it does the job of keeping you informed. Worth checking out for sure.

I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one's a pretty solid option if you want to stay up-to-date on what's happening in Detroit and Michigan. The coverage is comprehensive, with a good mix of breaking news, analysis, and multimedia content. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, though it did take me a little while to discover all the features. One thing I appreciate is that the reporting seems objective and fact-based, without any obvious bias. On the downside, the app can get a little cluttered with ads, which can be distracting. And while the Pistons coverage is nice, I wish there was even more local sports content. But overall, it's a reliable source for Metro Detroit news that's worth having on your phone.
