Been using The News-Press for a couple months now. It’s basically a local news app that covers everything from what’s happening around town to sports and weather. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping up with your community.
There’s a bunch of cool features – you can read all the in-depth articles, check out the photos and videos, and even get real-time alerts for breaking news and game scores. And the eNewspaper mode is pretty neat, it’s just like the physical newspaper but on your phone. Took me a while to figure out how to customize it, but you can save your favorite stories and adjust the text size and stuff.
Look, if you’re into staying on top of local news and events, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does a great job of keeping you informed. Worth checking out for sure.

So here's my honest take on The News-Press. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one's pretty solid. The design is clean and easy to navigate, and I like all the different content types - articles, photos, videos, it's got a good mix. And the notifications for breaking news and scores are super useful too. At the same time, the upgrade process feels a little slow, and the ads can get old after a while. But for a free app, it's one of the better local news options I've used.
