We always use The Parking Spot when flying out of our home city (Salt Lake). Creating an account with them was easy and we only get emails from them (no affiliated junk) when they have special discounts for.members, which is about every week. Shuttles to airport usually have no wait, and coming back has ranged from 5-15 minutes max. Prices are good, but very good on specials. Definitely recommend.
Reviews for The Parking Spot
← Back to The Parking SpotI've been using the app and the Parking Spot South lot at Phoenix Sky Harbor for a few years now and it has made parking near the airport so easy. Combined with my AAA discount it's cheaper than taking an Uber to and from my house. The app is easy and fast and I no longer need to keep up with coupons, reservation info, etc.
Could be better but ok. The qr code is always a beast to scan at the kiosk. When you tap on the qr code it should expand to fill the screen so it's easier to read. There should be a way to enter your parking spot in case you lose the paper card. Reserving is pretty easy but it is annoying how hard they push for covered parking. Prices seem to go up every time I visit.
Some of the information windows are so small you can't read the important part of the content. The credit card I entered was refusing the transaction because it did not recognize the vendor but the rejection showed up in the app as INVALID TRANSACTION which is too vague to follow-up on. The white letters on yellow back ground in the reservation window is so low contrast that it is difficult to tell is AM or PM is selected. Otherwise it's OK.
I like this app/company alot, but I think a really useful feature would be to, when you park, be able to record some how which spot you parked in within the app. I always loose the little card and end up having to type it on my phone anyway. Other than that I love this service and use it anytime I fly. It cheap, easy and you can't beat the convince.
It's an awesome app and service on site. The app works as suppose to work, making easy the spot booking. I also love the feature of the shuttle location on the app, it shows the position of the shuttle when you are at the airport terminal. The service on site is awsome, the shuttle picks up you on the parking spot so you barely have to walk looking for this service, the dropping out is the same, they leave you right in the parking spot (My experience at Newark, NJ). Downside, it's costly.
The app makes parking really convenient. I go to Newark airport, which has competitive pricing since it has 3 locations. Only Haynes uses a QR code scanner, which is a little annoying but at least one location has it. The only issue I have with the app is the pickup method. It uses a map where you click on your location and it notifies them to pick you up. The pickup instructions are unclear at each terminal and it's not the best at making it clear that they're on their way.
The support is basically non-existent. I've submitted two help tickets (the first one being more than a week ago) and no one has reached out. I'm all for technological improvement (no app before Park 'N Fly ATL was acquired by The Parking Spot), but if quality is sacrificed in the process, the overall value of the organization diminishes.
So easy to make reservations and changes! It's a very straightforward app. The shuttle tracker is pretty cool too. I've used The Parking Spot at MCI for years now, and their service is always excellent. Save yourself the pain of trying to find a parking spot at the airport. Reserve on the app, drive up to the gate, get a spot number, park, and the shuttle picks you up at your parking spot, loads & unloads your luggage, drops you off at the door. The app makes it all very easy, start to finish.
Last week when I arrived from my trip, I tried to use this app to find a shuttle and checkout. However, the app wouldn't launch. This week I was able to get the app to load, but all of my points and stays are gone. I tried to add a credit card for a quick checkout, but the credit card type field is not enabled. This app has proven to be pretty worthless.
Quick and Easy! The app is very intuitive and I like how you're shown all the pricing options. There's also a discount for booking ahead which is nice. Also, the parking spot as a whole has always been great. They take one of the more stressful aspects of travel by plane (where to park/how to get to the correct terminal) and make it simple. Their busses are always very clean, very prompt, and the driver's and attendants are always very nice and helpful. Good customer service as well.
Pretty darn good app, I must say. Plus they frequently send me 25 and 30% discount codes to my email. When I make a reservation through the TPS app, they give me a QR code that I scan as soon as I drive in The Parking Spot, and I scan it again when I'm leaving. THEY KEEP IT SIMPLE AND IT WORKS. I use the TPS app at least once a month. NOTE: It would be great if they added a feature to the app to record your parking spot for that reservation, just in case you lose your ticket and don't remember.
Super intuitive, easy to organize multiple reservations even with multiple locations. You might be able to find other off-site parking a dollar or two a day cheaper, but the convenience of a few minute ride, with constant shuttles (I've never waited more than 5 minutes), and clean well light and secure lots. The Parking Spot has it down to a science.
Easy app. Easy checking and checkout. Shuttles pick up quickly as they let you know at the gate where to park. Notifying The Parking Spot, you're ready to return to your parking stall, bringing a shuttle quickly without much wait. The rewards program is decent for free days of parking. Also, having a choice of covered or not, prepayment or not let save even more. Will keep using them for the time being.
The data entry process is pretty bad. It complains about an "invalid name" just because it had a trailing space - just trim off that trailing space and move on! Also the app threw errors due to invalid credit cards. I tried it multiple times with multiple cards. Everything I did was right but it said the details were wrong. And there's no way to contact customer service. No phone number, no online chat, no email. Nothing. VERY frustrating.
The promo codes you email me do not work for me. It's cheaper to use standard airport parking rates than to go through this app. When you sign up the benefits say "no reservation fees" and when I was trying to book it will charge a reservation fee. I was also given points when signing up to redeem as one free day of parking but this isn't working either. It must be at only select airports.
The shuttle driver explained when the app is opened and a shuttle service is selected (like north or south), the dispatcher gets a notification for a pickup in your terminal.! The app also shows the location of the shuttles in the airport. The user does not have a way to Request a shuttle and no confirmation that one is on its way. The wait can sometimes be long. The app shows all the shuttles, but which one is coming for me?
It is super easy and convenient to use, and if you make a reservation, you can save a bit of money. Because I travel so much, I usually set a reservation and select pay later just in case I return early. This way, I only get charged for the time I used. FYI, if you select pay now on a reservation, there is no refund if you come back early.
the app, the lots, the pickup spots, and the people that work for this company is never consistent the app will give you a set of directions while the signs on the lot or at the airport will list another set of directions. the lots are not fully numbered so good luck remembering where you parked as the drivers don't always stop to give you a slip and then it's never consistent where the pickup spot will be to take me back to the lot also every other person that works there is a jerk
Amateurish app with amateur support. It clearly hasn't been tested with real users, it has too many non-standard or glitchy aspects. They sent a scary email saying to update your app right away or it will stop working, but the update was only available on iOS not Android (until later in the month but didn't say when). I went on the app at end of month to check my version or update it but that wasn't an option. Couldn't see any way to contact them to sort it out.
