So here's my honest take on The Providence Journal, R.I.. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one's pretty good. The interface is clean and easy to use, and the content covers a nice range of local stories. And the eNewspaper feature is a nice touch too. But I found the ads to be a bit intrusive at times, and the app can get a little repetitive after a while. Overall though, it's a solid choice if you want to stay on top of your community news.

Description

Been using The Providence Journal, R.I. for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that covers all the local stuff happening in your community – from sports to things to do around town. Pretty solid app if you’re into keeping up with your local news.

Here’s what you do: you can browse through all the latest articles, watch videos, and check out the photos. And there’s also an eNewspaper feature which is pretty cool. And you can customize the app by saving your favorite stories and adjusting the settings.

Look, if you’re into local news apps, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get kind of annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
