Been using The Roku Channel for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you access to hundreds of live TV channels, plus a bunch of on-demand movies and shows – all for free. Pretty solid if you’re looking to cut the cord and save some money on cable.
Here’s what you can do: there’s live news, sports, cooking, kids shows, and all kinds of other channels. And it’s got some exclusive Roku Originals too, which are actually pretty good. And you can browse a huge library of popular movies and TV series – took me a while to figure out all the different content sections but it’s all organized pretty well.
Look, if you’re sick of paying for a million streaming services, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the live TV guide can be a little confusing and there are ads if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want free entertainment.
