I'm about to go off. I can not tell you how much I love this app! The company itself is amazing. They are super helpful, you get free shipping at a low price, and it makes getting thrift books so much easier and more accessible. Shipping is fast and they save so many books from just being trashed or wasting away which is super important! Thank you thrift books! The site is easy to navigate and they have a lot of promotional codes and coupons! It's great!

I've ordered over 25 books from Thriftbooks now, and have had zero issues with the book themselves or receiving the wrong books. If you read what the condition of the book is, you will see what you're getting. The "worst" book I've gotten had highlights and sentences underlined. And truthfully - I don't care. It doesn't ruin the experience for me. Unless you're buying the books new, they are not cheaper elsewhere. This website has the best pricing I've seen for books.

If only my books wouldn't disappear....several times I have browsed, added, and had to come back to what I was doing the next day, only to find that ALL of the books I had recently added were no longer in my cart. It's especially frustrating when I go down "rabbit holes" and don't have a physical list of the books I wanted. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING. If you can fix that, 5 stars for sure. But my gawd that's annoying.

A wonderful app to buy used books from. Only downside is you can't always trust the information or the cover shown for the book is what you are going to get. I've had plenty of occasions where I got a completely different cover than i expected and a few times I bought books that were said to be printed in english yet I received a book in an entirely different language. These things should be checked more often. Otherwise, great place to get good books for cheap.

Thriftbooks is a fair app, though the prices have increased when I first joined, and I don't like how you see a book on the main page reads $4.99 and you go to click and get to the book and it's magically $5.99 instead. The misleading pricing is frustrating, but their stock is still really impressive. They have a lot of rare books that I have on my wishlist, and the books are often in fair condition. Overall, I've been satisfied with Thriftbooks. 4.5 stars rounded up.

Books are always in excellent condition even though they'll only be marked as in "good" condition. They always ship right away. I used to occasionally buy used books at Amazon until one showed up with mildew on every page. I've compared prices between Amazon & Thrift on some of the books I buy but always Amazon costs more. Thrift books is the only place I buy books anymore.

I'd recommend to anyone needing any type of books at an affordable price. They have at times been bad quality or missing a book in a set, but they refund you without hesitation. It' just annoying that you get a refund instead of having the book that was missing instead. To get free shipping you have to buy more. I thinking shipping for free is 14 dollars worth of books. So now that I have a refund I have to buy more.Thats the only issues & some books aren't available and some are overpriced.

It's essentially a used book store. The books are obviously used but there are options to choose from, some have the options of like new, very good, good, acceptable and new. Some have the options of getting them in hardcover, paperback, mass market paperback and even leather bound (haven't seen a lot, but mostly for collectables). Over all if you don't mind buying used books then you'll love this, but be advised some books may be in better conditions than others they are used after all.

I have been using ThriftBooks for years and I cannot recommend it more. It's great for buying cheap used books that are still in good condition. They have text books too! My text books were gonna cost me $85 and with Thrift books they cost $26, including shipping. Also, the app is very easy to use, you can search for books by genre, isbn, and title/author.

I love thrift books! The app tells you the condition and binding of the books. Not just hardback or paperback. This makes it easy to shop. In my experience, the condition errs on the side of caution. Acceptable in the app is always going to be better than acceptable on eBay. In addition, you can see what edition the books are. Although I'm not a collector of first editions, they are listed as well. It's also been easy to keep track of and use my rewards.

It's absolutely phenomenal. I got fed up with Amazon pricing and quality of shipping when it came to books and man have I been under a rock. Have purchased several books so far, each in the condition they said they were in (couple better than what graded at). For book lovers their point system is awesome, I've already scored and cashed in 2 free books. App so far runs pretty smooth for me and is fairly intuitive to use.

The app itself is great. However, if you genuinely care about the condition of your books, don't buy here. 3/3 of my books from here have either been bought new but received with damages, or just not the condition described. Part of the issue is that there is 0 care given in shipping. A $100 hardcover book would be put in a thin bag with no packing and shipped to you. Maybe it'll be fine, but I have yet to receive a book in excellent condition here. Really wanted this site to be great,but 🤷‍♂️

I'm trying to order from the website but having a heck of a time. I have ordered before, but I didn't think I signed up for an account. Tried using both email accounts, but they weren't recognized. Tried to open an account, but each time I typed in something, it kicked me out of what I already typed. So far, it's created 3 passwords, but I still can't get past that. Trying to navigate the phone robot was a nightmare and no real person to talk to.

I love this app. but I do want to warn people: similar titles are sold under the same name. eg: there are 3 editions of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare, Abridged" (revised) amd (revised again). We thought we were buying (revised again) but we received the original. Similarly, we ordered a bunch of vocal selections for Musicals..We received the librettos instead. we love having these librettos, so we haven't complained to the seller. but we still need the music.

Great place to find deals and most novels you could want. Doesn't give a lot of information upfront about shipping dates or expected arrival times, but the shipping IS relatively fast and good quality. Plus, you get rewards and further discounts for purchasing used books, regardless of their quality (something they let you choose/sort by). Love it overall, but I would enjoy more details about when to expect my package to arrive.

I have been a long time customer of Thriftbooks. the items are usually at a decent price and quality is as advertised. usually. when an item is not as advertised, their customer service has been severely lacking. after a couple of negative experiences, I have learned that I can usually find the book I want on Pango books for cheaper, and can see photos of the actual book, so I can judge the quality for myself. will not make the mistake of buying here again.

I LOVE THRIFTBOOKS! I use this app for a majority of my book purchases. I wish you could use more than one promo code on your order when getting the free book. but regardless this is one of my favorite places to shop for books! I love the notification that you can sign up for when the book you're wanting isn't in at the time. it will tell you when it becomes available. Love it!!

I LOVE Thriftbooks!!! It's definitely become a go to of mine! The books are heavily discounted for used books, and slightly discounted for new books as well! The reading rewards program is phenomenal and the amount of free books I have gotten alone this year is amazing. They have a fantastic selection, including some books that I struggle to find copies of elsewhere! To anyone just starting to use it: I would not recommend buying any book in less than Very Good condition. Otherwise, no complaint

Love this site! I have ordered dozens of books and not one complaint about them. I am lucky that all the books I've received are in better condition than described. Some that are listed as "good" look like they have never been opened. One reviewer mentioned the long shipping time. That is somewhat true. It's not fast, but on the other hand, except for Amazon, who ships fast?? Getting used books isn't usually an emergency so the shipping time isn't a factor for me.

The book was shipped in only a polymailer, so the corners of the book are damaged, and there are scratches on the top and bottom. I paid decent money for this book, and with it being my first order, I didn't know how they would ship it. When I saw that it was in just a polymailer, I immediately knew there would be issues. I would much rather pay for shipping so they can ship with better care. It's so thoughtless.
