It’s got some cool seasonal task recommendations too, which is useful for getting your house ready for the changing weather. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s pretty intuitive overall.
Look, if you’re the kind of person who’s always got home projects going on, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the app can be a bit buggy sometimes and the ads can get annoying – but overall it does the job of helping you find reliable local services. So here's my honest take on Thumbtack: Hire Service Pros. I've tested a bunch of home services apps and this one's one of the better ones. The selection of local pros is pretty extensive and the in-app chat makes it easy to get quotes and book services. And the seasonal task recommendations are a nice touch too. But it's not without its issues - the app can be a bit glitchy at times and the free version has some annoying ads. Overall though, I'd say it's a solid option if you're looking to hire contractors for home projects.
