Been using Thunderstorm for Hue for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you summon a thunderstorm light show on your Philips Hue smart lights. Pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing.
Here’s what you do: You can pick from different storm types like strong, normal, or weak. And the lights pulse and flash to the sound of thunder and rain. There’s also some neat lightning effects – the closer the storm, the brighter the flashes. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s actually pretty easy to use.
Look, if you love playing with smart home stuff, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the thunder sounds could be a bit louder in my opinion – but overall it does the job and makes for a fun little party trick.
