Little bit of a hiccup setting it up but after resetting the app and the box worked like a charm. Can't wait to see what other apps you can add in the future!
I can't get my device to connect via my phone. It worked one time now it won't connect any more . Support is not answering Thier mail. So I guess I'm stuck with this doorstop as I can't get any response from support on email or any other company links.
The app won't start, it stays at the title screen and that's it. Seems like they turned off their servers and ran since there seems to be no one around anymore.
Good app overall, with some room for desirable features. Would love to be able to have more control over scheduling apps, a better search function, and presets for app "catalogs" I can load and unload at will. Overall I'm satisfied with how it's working for me so far though.
Very easy to use app. 2 suggestions: the ability to disable an app (perhaps via a long-press). And secondly, the ability to set app time as a percentage (e.g. Clock for 40 seconds (66%), Spotify for 10 seconds (17%), CitiBike for 10s seconds (17%). I would also love to eventually see a separate Tidbyt integration/driver for Hubitat smart home device so I could do things like "When Light Switch Turns on, display custom message on Tidbyt".
Look elsewhere, device has fallen apart, no support, no new material to download to the device. Not recommended at all. Don't waste your money.
I would happily change my review if I could connect my Tidbyt to my home network, except it is a hidden network and the Tidbyt setup does not allow me to enter the network info manually. Unless this is addressed, it feels like this purchase was a waste for me.
I wish there is a way to create a priority queue for the screens. For example: if Spotify is playing then, don't display other apps or set fast transition for other apps and keep Spotify running longer. Some kind of IFTTT to display screens based on conditions will be awesome. For now there is only schedule feature. Very excited to test out custom screens.
Love my Tidbyt and the software development team did an awesome job across the board. An amazing app for Android and iOS, a pretty open design in both the hardware and software, and love the work they did getting the units out to us.
Amazing app for the time it took to develop it. There is a bug that needs to be addressed to improve it. The schedule for the night mode works as intended but the individual app schedules do not work the same way. That's the main issue. Also I do wish the night mode allowed me to adjust the brightness level because I find it to be way too dim for my eyes at night. Finally, I would like to see a timer implemented for each individual app instead of an app cycle speed. Thanks for reading đź‘Ť
