Been using the Till: Debit Card for Kids app for a couple months now. It’s basically a banking app made for kids to learn how to manage their money. The idea is to give kids their own debit card and spending insights so they can start developing smart money habits early on.
Here’s what you can do with it: you can pay for everyday stuff with the Till debit card, track your spending and savings, get allowance payments automatically, and even refer friends to earn bonuses. There’s also the option to link your external bank account, which is pretty handy.
Look, if you’re trying to teach your kids about personal finance, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the parental controls could be better and the rewards system is a bit confusing. But overall, it does a solid job of getting kids engaged with managing their own money.
Editor Opinion
I've tested a bunch of finance apps for kids and Till is one of the better ones. The debit card and spending insights are great for hands-on money lessons. The interface is simple enough for young kids to understand, and the automatic allowance feature is super convenient. My only gripes are that the rewards system is a bit convoluted and the parental controls could use some improvement. But for getting kids to start developing smart money habits, I'd say Till is a pretty good option.

This service is amazing! While traveling overseas without us, our teen can be cash free. We can add money as he needs it while seeing where he is spending. I...
I was a bit skeptical about the app and services since there have been no fees involved. I'm not sure how that could be since competing apps charge monthly fees,etc....
Do Not Use. Unable to access my parent Acct. Have reset password and reloaded the app many times. Tech support could not resolve the problem and communications are poor.
