Reviews for Tilt (formerly Empower)

To everyone who is upset with the amount theyre lending you and how often you can get it, why don't you just use CashApp?? They lend up to like $700 depending on how much you're depositing into your account. There's no monthly $8 fee. Once you repay it you can immediately borrow it again and there's no limit to how often you can do this each month. You can setup auto payments or manually repay. CashApp > Tilt , hands down. no question.

This is absolutely the best borrowing app out here! It used to be called Empower, which confused me at first when I was looking for it on my phone but when I got a clue it was all good. The amount that I could borrow increased in a short time span because I was paying my loans back on time. There is an 8$ monthly fee that is so worth it, given the fact that there's no interest to pay back with the loan. I used to borrow 250$ from a loan company that charged 50$ every time.

It's an OK service. The advances are very low, actually the lowest of the big advance apps. Like they offer me a $25 advance when MoneyLion will offer me $850 with both apps having access to the same financial data. Fee to advance ratio is also very high, again, comparing to other apps. Pay a $2 fee for $25 or pay $8.99 for an $800 advance on MoneyLion or $3.99 for $170 on Cleo? I think Cleo has the most reasonable fee to advance amount ratio but they only offer $170 advance with same $ data.

Not consistent. My past 5 paychecks the payment has been cleared w/I 24 hours and I'm able to borrow the next day. This pay period, the money was taken but now all of a sudden it takes days to clear leaving me in the negative and dropped my amount from 300 to 75. This has caused me a huge inconvenience. Save your time and do not use this app.

Scam to get your $8! They word everything before your payment of $8 as to you will get a cash advance. After you pay, you click the "Get Cash" button only to be denied. A reason for my denial was "my linked bank account balance was too low". No kidding scammer, why do you think I needed a cash advance? Now I have to unlink my bank account. which is a whole process. For your info, after searching the app, the cancel your account button is under the " Account" tab, at the very bottom of the page.

It wont let me deposit cash from Thrive to my account anymore. Everything i try to correct the error doesn't work. I can't delete the account and readd, I can't add a new card because its just the one account. I have to have it deposited standard onto the Tilt debit card which takes days to process. once I pay back the rest of the loan, Im getting rid of it altogether.

14 day free trial is nice, however, I'm 4 days in and still can't do an advance. Keeps saying to sit tight and it'll take a few minutes, been like this for 4 days. Chat is just an AI that is no help. Did all the usual troubleshooting, no help. Called and emailed support, they said they would escalate and look into it, no followup. Also advance went from 200 down to 100 with no explanation. Recommend avoiding this app.

I thought this app was great until I realized that I'm being double billed for the subscription fees every month, plus the budget feature has never worked and misclassified transactions. I was using auto save until $10 transfer just vanished. 🧐😡🤬. I HOPE FOR A REIMBURSEMENT. These apps seem to have a lot of this type of thing. At $8.00 a piece x 2 per month. I need to review my bank statements to see how long this has been going on. I been using this App for several years.

Been a really big help when needing that extra flow of cash at the end of the month. no hidden fees and they do what they say they will do. consistent every time when I've needed the cash. thanks empower. UPDATED: Since they have switched to Tilt, it has gotten to be the worst in user friendly than anything I have ever seen. the app lacks any kind of support if anything goes wrong. Using the autosave feature can't withdraw anything out. Change numbers, kiss your access goodbye. app sucks now.

takes way too long for the repayment to process and post in the Tilt app, even though it's paid back by debit card. Let's say your advance is paid back on Friday you will have to wait until Wednesday but more than likely Thursday of the next week to take out another one. out of all the advance apps I've used Tilt is really the slowest to credit you after u pay it back. You can't take out another one until repayment process. It's annoying and is definitely not common practice.
